Nice one John. I'm a big Jimmy fan, love Tele's and P90s so this guitar should be perfect for me, but those super hot pups always put me off. If you are in the market for some vintage output P90s the BKP Bootcamp Old Guard are gorgeous, got them in my strat and it's my fav sounding guitar.
This pretty Jim Adkins Signature seems like a very nice Fender Les Paul Special for Tele Thinline fans. I might have preferred a 25.5" scale though to better suit the choice of hotter SD P-90ish pups. I was tempted by this model a few years ago, so it's nice to see a full demo of what I missed.
Is it just me, or when you spend 900 British Pounds do you not expect quality volume and tone pots that actually work? I can understand it on the cheaper models, but this one just gets my goat! Such a stupid penny pinch it must have been a desk jockey who doesn't play guitars who thought it up.
Thanks for your review, John! One premise of mine: I will NEVER EVER pay for a name on the headstock. And there is no linear connection between price and quality. If I sell a guitar on Ebay for 500 € or the same guitar for 1.000 € will not change the quality of this guitar.

I always enjoy the injection of of adrenaline that that accompanies your ‘shouty bits’
Been looking forward to this one, really love the look of these - p90s are great!
It's a very pretty guitar, and it sounds fantastic.

I don’t own a Fender, but this one would be near the top of my list of ones I would buy.

Sounds great.
P-90’s are *it*
The Seymour Duncan pups sound great, it'd be a shame to ditch them. I've heard you can cool down hot pups with a resistor.
Wow, angry guitar noises! That thing has a presence, or a scary GROWL! I admit I was expecting a Les Paul going by the sound, in all honesty! 😅
Boomerish? No, never!
