    Strange, I normally really like the boosted sound of the SD-1, but on the crunch channel, the ZW overdrive seemed to sound fuller. Great video, thanks for posting!

      Yeah it's a bit fuller sounding than the SD-1 and indeed works great with this guitar / pickups / normal tuning. Glad to hear! Thanks!

      Euge has it down with the emg/sd1 all day long! I use fishmans into the Tsl and a zw type od and it sounds amazing.
      I can’t get the sd1 to sound as good. I use the sd1 into my jvm.
      100% prefer the TSL aggression over the JVM rawk sound.

    I like Marshall's and have had them in the past. Solid amps and a classic tone. That ESP sounds good thru it. I know you like EMG pickups, but they have always had an aspect of getting muddy a bit to me. I favor a clear defined tone with a fat bottom end and singing highs and the ESP's pickups sound pretty good. I'm a kind of mix between an old school hard rock player and progressive. I play Mesa these days as they suit my style.. The one ESP I have left came with Seymour Duncan's in it. I changed them out to DiMarzio's a while ago. Great sound. Thanks for the video Euge. You make me want a Marshall again.

    Hi Euge, I'm not sure if you're looking for ideas for videos, but love the guitar tone on your RUclips channel intro on this one. Would you be kind enough to make a video on how you got that tone. It sounds so sweet but unusual to me. I seem to be able to hear some rich undertone harmonics in it. Love the channel, content and most of all your playing. Thank you for sharing.

      The gear list is in the description below the video and that’s it. Most of the tone & sound comes from what you play & how you play so there’s no secret. 👌😎

      @@EugeValovirta230V thanks for getting back to me Euge. Just want to be sure I explained myself properly. I mean the tune playing during the part where your blue circle with the stars with "Euge Valovirta You Tube" logo comes up. And yes 100% get what you're saying about most the of the sound comes from the skill in your hands.

      Aa my old channel intro. That’s a song from my solo album called ”Feed The Fire”. I’ve done a video about how to play that song: ruclips.net/video/yKjocbD7wck/видео.html
      I used UAD’s Friedman BE plugin on that album 👌.

      you need an attenuator

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  4 года назад +2

      Probably yes. I think the amp starts to work when master is above five. I use the Suhr Reactive Load IR and usually play / record with headphones with it so you can crank the master as loud as you want 😊👌.

    Ok there must be about 500 tsl demos on YT. How come only 3 of them have the amp sound good?? Haha
    That amp is a bargain right now. I wonder if in 10 years they’ll be up to jcm800 prices.
    Great Demo again! The gain knob on the clean is a bit scratchy though 😉

      It’s all in the fingers 😎.
      I’m quite sure that’ll be the case. I bought my 800s about 20 years ago and paid like 300€ / amp so I have a pretty good track record 😊.
      Glad to hear! Thanks!

      I’m glad I learned about the 2203/input style through your videos. I wasn’t aware of how many jcm800 versions there are. 20 years ago I had seen an 86’ 800 going for $1200cad (not sure what model) now minimum they are $2g, a 2203 might go for closer to $3g here in Canada.

    • @EugeValovirta230V

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  3 года назад

      Not sure what you mean?
      But if you meant how do I make the videos; I’ll record the video with Canon M50 camera and use a lavalier mic to record my voice to it too and guitars go to my DAW and then I import the gtr audio from DAW and the video / speech audio from the camera to Final Cut video editing program where I edit all together and then import the video to RUclips 👌.
      I’ll make a detailed video about the process in the near future.
