Blackie friend, I can relate to your comments on having a cool morning. I live in Paraguay and the heat and humidity here is unbearable in summer. Stay strong and get well good friend
I am surprised at so few likes so I added another one. That was well worth my time to watch. Very handy stuff. Now I have to head home and try this out.
It's two years after this video was posted, Blackie, but, the same time of year and we just had those first cool mornings here in Louisiana, so I definitely can relate to your excitement. Now, let me watch the video......😁
I cant imagine that heat down there. Living in colorado at 9200 elevation we are spoiled with cool mornings and evenings throughout the summer. Great tip thanks Blackie.
Glad to hear you finally got some relief in the weather Blackie, it's been a miserable summer here in Michigan, the 7th hottest summer on record. Finally getting some cool weather now that it's September.
Blackie , Being from West Tennessee I understand what you are saying. Great Video and Information. I Appreciate You taking your time to share your knowledge. You Are The Master Woodsman and Bushcrafter. Thanks Again for passing on the knowledge. Tim L.
100 ft paracord .. 40 ft ridge line set up in quick deploy method 10 6 ft hanks for all other uses at camp .. I have found this to be an effective means as to make the most out of my paracord .. guy lines , quick tripod lashing , firewood carrier, adjustable pot hanger,, all have bowlines already tied ..makes camp set up a breeze .. and number 36 bank line for everything else ..
I like your videos but this one is a little spooky. Last night (in my time zone) I tied a paracord in the exact same way, a bowline knot at one end and prepared for a Canadian jam not in the other ... I hade not seen this video. Keep up the good work. Best regards Ulf
Nice! Thanks! Have you tried using that daisy chained hank as a soft toggle? I start the chain with the bowline at the top, and when the last loop is pulled through the bottom put the bowline thru it and then the jam knot thru the bowline. The jam knot end can be made bigger by leaving a loop in it, pulling its "pull handle" thru that loop and tightening.
I've been using the toggle trick to keep my propane tank secure in the trunk when refilling it. It's not rolling around anymore, but this would probably work even better.
Hey Blackie, I know what you mean about the first good temperature drop. I live in Cherryville, NC ( Cherr'ville ) and this morning when I woke up I asked my girlfriend, Alexa, what the temp was outside. She said it was 56 Degrees . Ahhhhh
Might not get the humidity here in West Virginia you have . But damn sure have the heat . And at 0630 this AM I was celebrating the 58 degree we had . Thanks for the zip tie .
a simple trick to make your gear a multi tasker hope you enjoy ..safe journeys to you
Only Southerners will appreciate the cool weather in September. Thanks for the great videos.

I live in N Central Arizona. Believe me I can relate. When it's 120 in Phoenix it 100 here.
Good one. Thanks
You're welcome
this is the way to always carry some cordage. Clip it to your keys! The fancy lanyards on military officers uniforms use the same "daisy chain" knot.
Great tips thanks
No problem!
Brilliant!
Old shoestrings also make good expedient survival cord
Did you know that's how to start when you crochet. Yes I can do that but I'm still learning your other things thanks blackie
Excellent! Thankee!

Glad you weathered the storm OK!
Isn’t the “toggle lock“ a marlinspike hitch?
Yes it is .. my favorite way to stake out tent or tarp .. makes for quick set up and breakdown of camp
3:36. I did it! After many tries this chair rung ain't going nowhere! Ha ha.
