I've gone back in time, to enjoy all the videos 📹 I missed before I started watching the channel. 🙂 Thank you, for all your hard work, dedication to sharing your knowledge and time. Plus, your humour 😄
1969. Over fifty years ago now. This really takes me back. My Uncle acquired an early Thirties Senior Series Packard about that time. I know they are called "barn finds." This one really was. The straight eight engine had a cracked block. Over a period of ten years, he managed to restore the Packard. It was taken down to the frame. Lots of black Rust-o-leum. Three tons of Detroit luxury. Black on the bottom, blue on top. These are very comfortable, like sitting on a living room couch. I was sent a link a few years ago for a Packard, for sale. Lo and behold, it was my Uncle's car. Great restoration , Marty!
Packards are one of those names that are now so old and so forgotten by the public that people forget that Packard was a luxury marque in the 1930s, with close to but not quite the same cachet as Cadillac.
WOW! Went from disaster - area to Oh My God, it awesome!!!! With the lock up we're going through, I found this video absolutely relaxing, and enjoyed it even more! Thanks for taking us along.
Packard was an American car manufacturing company based out of Detroit, Michigan USA, but now no longer in business and a Packard car is the Poor Man's Luxury Car. Those colors are beautiful. Cheers from Wisconsin USA
Minuto 18... Más o menos....y muero de risas con esos titulares.... En las revista de atrás....mientras hablas normalmente del resto del trabajo! Un genio Marty... Cómo siempre!... Gracias por la calidad de tus videos.!! Abrazo!
Very well done! Nice colors, great creativity in repairs & restoration, I really enjoy the vintage cars!! Beautiful end product! Thank you for the entertainment!
I have just recently started following your videos and as a matchbox and hotwheels lover as a kid, they bring back some fond memories. One thing that makes me crack up are the newspaper liners you use in your paint booth! I still have many videos to go and look forward to seeing them...and you paint booth lines. Bravo Zulu on your work.
Beautiful and highly detailed model. As always excellent work the colors look fantastic. Please stay safe and healthy everyone and let’s all get through this difficult time. God Bless. Thank you Marty for making our time pretty much confined in our homes more bearable and relaxing.
I really like these Models of Yesteryear makeovers. I had a couple as a kid and the tutorials bring back a lot of good memories. This was an excellent restoration and I think the colors look great! I was impressed with how well Matchbox designed the model and how much effort it took in disassembling it. I too have lost many model parts that fell onto the carpet monster never to be seen again so I can relate to searching for one that flew through the air. Kevin, as usual, strikes again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial.
I think this is perhaps my favorite resto you've done. I love the model itself - the design is beautiful and the detail amazing. And what a spectacular job you did with it! The colors are perfect. Anybody would love to own that one now that you're done with it. Beautiful. Excellently well done.
Forget the cars... I just tune in to see the headlines in the spray booth and this episode was a classic! Well done Marty, great attention to detail as always, great vid. Keep em coming mate, we’ve missed you.
Julie, I am using your gravy bowl. I knew the hot water would help. It also helps with adjusting resin. Also if you are working with vinyl in model kits. The car does look like Fort Knox. I am glad you are still well. Good luck in avoiding the nasty virus. You have a pleasant looking walkway out to your shed. I remember those paint samples. I am surprised the stripper did not melt the bottles.
My wife and I enjoyed your work. Phenomenal job! Your restoration videos are keeping us entertained during the quarantine. Keep up the good work. Oh and a hello from Nampa, Idaho
Beautiful custom restoration Marty. The orange, brown, maroon and red work so well together. I first thought that the brown was too chocolately, but once the whole model was together, the mix was perfect.
Marty, Something my grandfather taught me years ago to help keep those parts from jumping when you cut them. Take your side cutters (the one you used for cutting the axle) and tape the handle so the jaws are fully closed. now clean the jaws very thoroughly. Once clean and dry fill the cavity with silicone. I use the cheap clear tube of silicone from the local gas station. I also make sure that I smooth it out to make it look neat but that is just cosmetic. Once cured, un-tape the handles and using a razor blade carefully slice the silicone between the jaws so they can open again. Once done you will have a cutter that when you cut the axle, the silicone will hold onto it and prevent it from jumping. And since the silicone is flexible, it generally will not get in the way of what you are doing. I've been doing this for nearly 40 years now and it has saved me countless hours from having to search for those wires that seem to fly off into who knows where only to be found again with a bare foot in the middle of the night.
Great treat as I'm stuck in my basement trying to work. I have that same model from when I was about 7 (in 1970) and I believe it is in my mom's basement! Love the video.
What a pleasure to watch Marty! The colors turned out fantastic and the attention to detail but you always show is something that makes me happy! Well done on a superbly turned out model
Good tip about labelling the bottles buddy. When I was about 5 I drank some paraffin that was stored in a pop bottle in my uncles' shed. Awesome restoration as ever!! :)
KEVIN! ....don't talk to me about Kevin! - He put olive oil on the brakes because they squeaked . Turns out he never went to motor mechanics night school as I thought!!! Grrrr!
Wow beautiful 🚗 great 👍 videos. and i hope u are doing great these days Marty
It's gorgeous Marty

Plus, your humour 😄
Brilliant restoration. But the little skit in the end is hilarious. Plus the bloopers made my day. So thank you Marty.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nicest one you've done in my opinion Marty!!
What a beautiful little model. A few of the old larger Matchbox cars were in my collection as a kid. The Packard was one of my favorites!
Love the colour scheme!
Gorgeous.
Another great job
Wow, Marty, that ended up looking exceptional. Color choices look great! Some cuppa!

I may be only 43 born 77 but the 30s cars are by far some of the most beautiful cars ever made. great job love it
Beautiful resto Marty. That orange came up a treat! Always loved Matchbox 'vintage cars' when I was a kid. .
Another cinematic experience with Marty! Your detailed explanations and closeups are terrific.Another wonderful ending for the car and the film.
Thanks Walter, It's good to know that I am ticking some boxes with my viewers!
Love your videos! Now more than ever, they bring tranquility to me. Marty's voice makes feel like anything that is broken can be fixed.
That orange gold color is amazing! This whole model came out great.
Those colours compliment each other very nicely.
Those yesteryear models were always great on detail.
That one will look great on display.
WOW! Went from disaster - area to Oh My God, it awesome!!!! With the lock up we're going through, I found this video absolutely relaxing, and enjoyed it even more! Thanks for taking us along.
I see the superglue kept the wheel together despite Kevin’s best attempts!
Thanks for the video again Marty. All the best, Ian

I watch these mainly for the Sunday Sport headlines and, in this episode, I was NOT disappointed.
What a beautiful car! Love the end skit hahaha

Great job!! And, great job by Kevin for solving the problem of that annoying squeak by disconnecting the brakes. NO REFUND........GUARANTEED!!!!!!
That's an amazing transformation! Beautiful work!
I really and truly believe that cars ...rather they be toys or real cars love the feeling of being restored.
