VERMONA DRM mkIV - DYNAMIC TRIGGERING

- In this video we quickly explain the recent updates regarding the DRM’s connectivity and demonstrate how to generate dynamic trigger signals using a modular environment.
From now on also the analogue trigger inputs are dynamic, same as the midi inputs which provided velocity control ever since. Both the dynamic trigger inputs and midi veloctiy do not just control the output volume of a channel but rather effect the overall excitement of each channel’s circuitry, thus controlling its output volume.
There are different ways to generate dynamic trigger signals. While some sequencers provide it and some don't, in this video we show how to achieve it using modular setup. Видеоклипы
Thanks, it's cool to have some official demos and infos directly from you. Hopefully there will be more, I've subscribed
dynamic triggers is amazing 😍
Thanks.
I just recently had my MKIII upgraded with the triggers....I'm not complaining about the timing, I surely wouldn't have gone so far as replacing the machine entirely. Great additions though, especially the CV to MIDI.
More official video toutorials please.
Nice! Impeccable quality machine. A question: will the device respond to velocity via midi and output corresponding dynamics? Or will it only be accent / no accent?
Yes, velocity is available via MIDI. With installed trigger inputs, it can also convert the MIDI information into analog gate signals with dynamic or gate + accent.
awesome synth! is it possible to send velocity via MIDI for the same effect, or is it only achieved via analog trigger inputs?
Yes, velocity via MIDI was already possible with the MK3 :)
When will there be more of these available in the US? Please.
I have the mk3, it works with any pad, it is velocity sensitive, enjoy.
Can you use acoustic drums triggers ?
Hello all :) Would I be able to do this ^ with Erica Synths Drum Sequencer?
Can we use electronic drum pads from Roland, (Yamaha or other manufacturer) for triggering the Vermona?
Would love to know this too!!
yes, velocity and all, I use novation mk3 mini or similar
CANT WAIT FOR MINE TO ARRIVE
@Yalek Yalula HAHAHHAHA BASICALLY
Hi! We are constantly building and shipping out to dealers. Normally your dealer should be able to tell you when your order is expected to in, as we are giving estimates to them.
@@vermonagear OHHHH NICE! I'll email them now! Thank you! VERY EXCITED
@@SmoothSailingMusic You can get these off Reverb.com now. Plenty of stock out there as of today. Good luck. Just search Vermona DRM1 MKIV
@@Noise-Maker yeah already put my order in on April 29. dealer got back to me last night and is saying August
would love to see someone connect these to drum pads!
What do you do if one of the triggers is a little sticky after buying new?
usb connection is for both midi and audio simultaneously?
Just midi
MKV will have CV for other parameters
not that one is necessary, but curious if there are plans for a drm1 V
Currently, there are no plans for that.
So... rack mount unit with power button on the back... why???
We decided to place the power switch on the rear next to the power connector in order to prevents routing the power line internally through the whole machine. This helps to minimize interferences.
We think that most of the people who install the DRM1 MKIV into a rack use a global power switch for their setup, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
It would be crazy to combine the MK3 and MK 4 together
Why? Why crazy?
If Vermona would only add some CV ins too, the DRM1 would beat out most other drum synths currently available. It could take on the Perkons and even, in certain metrics, the Pulsar-23, to pick just two examples.
Dry your eyes.
Can you use acoustic drums triggers ?
I would know it too! I will like to use drum pads like the Roland PD8
Currently, the trigger inputs do not directly support drum triggers or pads.
@@vermonagear Why not. Isnt a trigger, a trigger? no matter what its triggering? Does this now support drum triggering? Im looking for a unit to replace my irritating Nord drum 3P
@@vermonagear If I bought this and plugged in a Roland drum pad and played it what would happen?
