Glad you're back from hiatus! If there's one thing this hobby has taught me it's that quality takes time 👍 This place looks outstanding. It's going on my must-visit list!
Rum cut with water sugar and lime juice was served on sailing ships for centuries as an antiscorbutic and was given as a daily ration to Royal Navy sailors up until 1970!
Ice from the shaker is basically already melting and will dilute the drink much quicker than adding fresh ice. This is why you shake and strain over / into fresh ice in general and then top with more fresh ice to fill the glass, if needed. Using the ice from the shaker is called a "dirty dump" and leads to inconsistent results in your drinks.

Just done watching this whole channel. More like this on the way I hope? Such a high level & good vibe
We are kind of quality over quantity and still developing it as a TV show so there will be more.
Fantastic video, thank you for your hard work!
Wow rum is as historically deep as whiskey, makes sense but just never thought of it.

@@The-Tiki-Show wow, rum has truly sailed through the ages!
Why do you mix the sweet and sour before the booze?
In case you mess up the measure you haven’t wasted the most expensive ingredients.
@@The-Tiki-Show Ahh makes sense. Thanks

Yeah Shannon is pretty cool people!
Why wouldn’t you use the ice from the shaker before topping the cocktail with ice?

Don't use things that don't belong to your culture" is the stupidest statement ever made.
