It's a highly underrated aspect of this format. Rhett is a genuine foodie, no doubt.

If you're interested in food it's really not that shocking. What did shock me though is that he didn't realise the rice omelette was from Japan, that was so clearly a Japanese dish.

omelet rice aka "omurice" is the quintessential "kid's food" in Japan much like mac n cheese or chicken tenders, often with a cute message or picture drawn in ketchup on it. It's very much a comfort food for a lot of Japanese adults as well.
@@Bruvvv785 that one presented is def a version. It ranges from a straight up omelette with ketchup and chicken with rice to the more refined versions with a french style omelette and demiglace. Just like there are a million versions of mac n cheese from kraft to versions with lobster and bechamel

What Rhett described in the mystery round about the rice dish he saw on TikTok which is served in a pot then flipped onto a big dish, I am 100% sure that what he saw is Maqlooba which is a Jordanian/Palestinian rice dish that is served exactly this way.
It usually consists of Cauliflower or Eggplant(or both), rice and Chicken(sometimes lamb).
I am Jordanian and I once flipped a pot of Maqlooba.
