This video sucked . You're literally telling people don't stock up on toilet paper, gas , and water. You know nothing of survival or preparedness. Change your channel to " everything is fine , listen to the government " No useful information and you're basically parroting a bunch of virtue signaling media bullcrap. If gas is always gonna be delivered and the water is staying on and everyone is gonna show up to work, what the fuck are you prepping for? Wow so all the places in Europe that use bidets and the places in Asia that DON'T USE ANYTHING aren't running outtta toilet paper 😂😂😂. Asshat
All this Coronavirus is hogwash! I haven't worn a mask since it has started if I can help it... Unless made to like going to doctor visits but I imagine I will stop that pretty soon as well... Usually my doctor calls me in just for a yearly check up. But I haven't worn any gloves either and touch my face, eyes, mouth, nose and everything... No problems... It's all just one BIG LIE!!!
@@esetek Well, I have a masters degree in emergency management and am an emergency manager for a large government organization. It pays to be prepared.
Totally agree I bought enough supplies for 2 months in Mid February.Seems crazy to see people starting to buy right now. Also it takes a long time to buy 2 months supply its hard work!
@@josephgreen2008 I've seen a few calendars like this: www.cert-la.com/downloads/education/english/disasterpreparednesscalendar.pdf It is very good way to gradually prepare yourself and won't break the bank all at once. Follow this and you'll be prepared for almost anything.
For absolute certainty, the only thing you can be sure of when someone on youtube or anywhere else says, "I can absolutely guarantee you that...", you want to absolutely NOT believe it. I live in a suburb of a major US city--by any account, a "best place to live" by most any current standard. And lately, not only have we had frequent repeated power outages, but we also have had issues with reliable water, access to critical medications, and, perhaps most telling, excuses from our law enforcement about why they no longer can answer calls. Also, interestingly, lately our online orders are not showing up, despite notices that the items were delivered on a specific date and time. Friends, these days there are no guarantees about anything. Despite widespread virtue signalling that "We are all in this together", you in fact are on your own.
Dear Eq---- You are so,so accurate in showing us the truth of the matter. As far as the vaccine goes, it won't work, so why get it. Particularly, if you are 65 or younger.
Yes, and the gun/ammo purchases are not due to the pandemic. They are due to our govt trying to turn us into a socialistic society and confiscate our means if protecting ourselves from violent offenders AND OUR GOVT.
I was just thinking the same thing. This guy must live in a paradise where nothing bad ever happens. I live in northern CA in the mountains and gas, water and many other things he said not to get are essential to survive here. Especially when these morons are pushing for green solar energy, every time it's raining or overcast here PG&E shuts our power off to supply LA and the bay area because they can't store enough power from the solar for the whole state. Most of it gets rerouted to the cities
@@Plur307 Frikkin' of course! Not gonna lie, I don't give a damn about what happens to my sister. Bed made. Lie in it. She was so anti-gun before. She's at the epicenter of hell, too: Commiefornia. Whatever, I've already written them all off. I am the sole progenitor of my DNA. If I fail, it's over; the lineage goes extinct. My job is to survive long and well enough to create strong, intelligent, healthy offspring whom will be the rebuilders of civilization and who's offspring will take us into the stars and beyond.
This is common sense, if you Don't Panic. It is a flue, that we never had before. That is why it will hit us all like a hard flue. But some, with reduce resistance against influensas, could get pneumonia, and that could kill them, if not treated in time. So, if you and your family (or who else you share houshold with) should stay home when one is sick, and you all will probably get sick and well in two-four weeks. So prepare for not going out at maximum one month, but more probably two weeks. Could be good if you have a second house where sick could live, so the others can go on with life, and go out buy grocery for those that are sick..
Non prescription medication is wise: laxative, anti diarrhea, aspirin, band aids, first aide ointment, antacid. Also household items: laundery detergent, bars of hand soap.
Keep in mind the pandemic is only half of the threat! The other three; supply chain, mounting debt crisis, and economic disruption may be a much larger cliffs edge. We may be looking at a major recession.
I think the real point here is you should have already been stocked on the things you will need during an emergency. Hopefully more people will realize this going forward
Jason cullen I live in South Central Kansas, the weather here is horrendous every year during tornado season, and Ice storms are common across the plains during the winter months. Most of the people I know have generators, other forms of lighting, medical supplies and food for at least two weeks. This is the norm for this area and many others. The problem is going to be in the big cities, and the mindset of the younger generation that the government is supposed to wipe your ass for you. Maybe people should have settled for a smaller house, a less flashy automobile, maybe save back some money instead of blowing it on whatever it is people spend their money on before they secured the well-being of themselves and their family. Natural disasters occur every year, and every year people like myself end up helping out people that didn't have their s*** together. We shouldn't have to do that. People should automatically do it for themselves. I honestly find it hard to believe that people prepare for the future in every way except this.
@@lestatangel Its not that those of us who aren't peppers are relying on the government, it's that we foolishly assumed the business community had a robust supply chain. We thought it was in there interest. Simple logic should have informed otherwise. Squeezing out the last nickle of shareholder value is everything, and inventory that can be converted to shareholder value has been. It makes no economic sense for them to give their competitors an advantage by maintaining warehouses rather than receiving shipments just-in-time. A disruptive event affects all of them equally, and if people demand the flow of goods to be resumed promptly, they can pay extra for that value added service. I have adjusted my expectations accordingly. I think it's fair though that they have reserves to weather any financial storms and not expect a blanket bailout. As a good stewardof our money, the government should apply bailouts selectively and not assist those not critical to recovery in terms of either products or employment they provide. Starbucks, the local movie theater, those are option products and minimal employment and should not be considered for assistance. Ditto for restaurants in states where hey are exempt from minimum wage. The money that would go to them should rather be used for training programs to move them into in demand fields. They should not expect the government to contribute to the general welfare. There's no shareholder value there.
You are not exactly correct. Yes many folks from a few generations ago did stock up on items, I remember in my house, my dad would buy like a years worth of stuff at a time. This was not because he was a prepper. It was because he was a farmer, and only got paid once a year.
I'm pretty confident but you can never be 100% sure. Other countries who are on the downward slope of this thing have not reported issues with their water supplies.
Imagine what I was thinking they suddenly with no warning shut off the water in my building a few days ago. Luckily it was only for half a day but that was pretty scary in this pandemic.
I would go to a water supply . Like a river , stream or lake . I pity city people as they are the most vulnerable and their biggest weakness is their brain .
You don’t need bottled water...yet It’s something people should have regardless of pandemic or not. Depending on how big the scale of this, the grid very well might go down.
BCBushcraftSurvival with no job I wonder how these cattle are going to pay thier water and electric bill is the goverment gonna fun it all for em for free? If it lasts a year to recover from the economic down fall or 3 years I Hear a lot of bad advice I think most people buy what gives them a piece of mind but it doesn’t make it the correct option for everyone I have zero city water should I listen to this guy no way
WildWestHikes I live in a desert no running water no ground water mostly water you catch or bring in on your own but you do 5 gallon bottle minimum not bottled Walmart bottled water all them were leaving 5 gallon containers and going for the bottled water
Sometimes water gets turned off due to something that happens at a local facility. In addition, people live in areas where the tap water is just bad; water is ALWAYS needed-good drinkable water.
Yup exactly I've had mine shut off 3 times this year. When that happens i just use bottled water that i have in room that doesn't get direct sun and its good for 2 years over that just use it for washing dishes
The water supply uses computers. If the grid is overloaded due to the number of people stuck at home...who knows if the water supply will become disrupted?
@@BurtSanders oh trust me. The store I have gets like 4 pallets of it a day. But it sells in about 5 minutes. And i dont care about tp. It's not vital.
You talked people out of buying a water filter? A super cheap and no sacrifice prep that could be life saving in ways that none of us could foresee? I think this is a bad call.
@Marco Dalmatini Just because some pandemic happened to come our way the average doomsday prepper isn't off the hook for being nuts. Hoarding fuel and guns for a nuclear war then shouting "told you so" when a slightly more agressive version of a flu sweeps across the globe is not fooling anyone. You still prepared for something completely different. To draw a paralel, just because Snowden leaked that the US government had a hidden agenda doesn't make alien conspiracy theories true. You prepared for something utterly ridiculous which just conveniently happens to make you well-prepared for something a lot less serious, the jury is still out on your sanity.
@Marco Dalmatini I'm the guy who is totally unprepared for an alien invasion, but is fully prepared for something sane... like a bad pandemic. I have two freezers full of meat in my garage and buy everything even without a pandemic in huge family packs that last one to two months, and never worked at a place of business my entire life, always home office, so for me the only thing that changed is... the content I see on the internet? Not much else, if anything at all... so as someone who isn't considering himself a prepper but is well-prepared anyway, I feel justified to judge what a sane level of preparation is and what isn't.
Also, we had rolling blackouts in Texas and we don't have underground power lines. Also Texas is not equipped for -4 or below temps so yes, our water was off line for a while. and then once on it, it wasn't safe to yet drink. Your info was helpful but lacks further info.

Stocking up now is precisely what is causing the run on the stores. If you're stocking up now you are and have been unprepared. And all the people who are unprepared now are the same people who laughed at preppers and called them nuts. Shame on you if you're just stocking up now
I agree. My wife had a friend who texted her saying she saw someone in the grocery store with gloves and a mask on and started laughing out loud at them...people like my wife's friend are going to be in a world of hurt soon.

Almost all of these so-called YT Preppers are sad and pathetic. They'll show off all these overpriced items that they ordered from Amazon. That's not survival. It's shopping. 'Smucker's Naturals'? I'm also tired of watching some spoiled little rich kid or overgrown kid in this case tell us how they bought an entire store so they're ready. A Wise food bucket too? I get it now. He's just another salesman. I can whip up a much better dinner out of canned goods. We all can.
@@justmichelle71 The wise food buckets and similar have great marketing. I'd be lying if I said they didnt have a place in the pantry though (i like them for hiking and camping.) But you're right, packing basic staples and shelf-stable goods is generally a better way to go. Rotate your canned goods every couple years, properly store your dried goods, you'll be fine. And you wont get a heart attack from the sodium. That freeze dried food is insane on sodium.
Prepping/survival is a huge industry in the US. They make people believe they need these and that. They even spend tons of money to produce zombie movies to condition the mindset of people to horde unnecessary items.
The other day the dented cans were left in the store I brought them as the scrap yard will still give me the same price for them when I have eaten the food out of them ! LOL The only extra things I have brought for this is cold and flu meds I already had everything else I needed. I replaced everything I used when I was off work for two months after being laid off with others on New Years Eve I am now back to full time work and could see this coming that there was going to be panic buying and also people buying more if their staying in more. There are now 21 deaths from corona in the whole of the UK with 18 getting better from it. Thank you for the video.
Go easy on the flu meds, they can actually make it worse, and remember that fever is your own body ramping up immune response. Check our Dr John Campbell on RUclips, he explains it brilliantly 🤜🤛
I've been made fun of for years. I've been giving prep items ti family members for years. Most of them thought I was nuts...... I think most of them realize that maybe it makes sense to prepare for as many possibilities as possible. I've tried to tell everyone to have a at least an extra month, more if possible, of essential perscription meds at all times.
Your giving Prep Items to Family Members while they are Making Fun of You?? Like They Say. "There Is a FOOL Born Every Minute" and You are a Doozie Of a FOOL!!!
True ...stock up on your usual food and just rotate the stuff as you buy more ..iv'e gone from having my usual 2 weeks food on hand to having around 2 months essentials and it hasn't been too expensive .Rice Pasta tin goods are quite cheap and i bulk brought lots of mince and chicken that i froze just hope the freezer doesn't go off ....I plan to buy a Berkey travel filter so i will always have drinkable water ....
The point you missed with buying gas or diesel is this. I live semi rural, both my wife and I are in the hospitality industry, things are already slow, we have 2 months food supply but will absolutely NEED to travel to get work. Both of our hours have been cut already, so hard to travel to find work when we do not have money for gas. So I have been putting it away while I still have an income. My average usage is about 5 gallons per week, we have one car. So I now have 8 x 5 gallon cans put aside, at least that will give us an 8 week buffer, and If we do not need it yet, I have stored it for 2 years before with no issue, so it will get used. Thanks for posting
Well, right off the bat, I disagree about the toilet paper because it has been out of stock at every store and online for weeks now. It is a world-wide shortage, so I feel that I was right to buy a lot the week before the panic shopping. All paper products and Clorox and Lysol wipes have been sold out since the panic week. I still have some, but I have been using mine for a month now and they still aren't in stock. I did get water purifiers because I won't drink my tap water. I agree with most of it, but I do know that we are prepping for a pandemic, but we are also prepping in case of a global economic collapse a few months from now. What surprised me was that the stores ran out of every type of product: rice, beans, lentils, grains, frozen vegetables, potatoes, bread, oatmeal, pasta, pasta sauce, hamburger, eggs, chicken, junk food, bottled water, hummus, etc. They ran out of everything everywhere. It will change how I prep because I had enough for a few months and I still have some, but I started social isolating back in January and went to re-stock some things around the time of this video and nothing at all was anywhere. When Amazon and Walmart and Target online are out I know that next time, I will have way more. Toilet paper will be number one because of how many people around me ran out and I learned that I will want to help people and that will cut into my supply.
As a husband of someone in healthcare, leave the good masks for people who are caring for the infected. Healthcare workers are our only ally at this time. We need to think of the Group, not the individual.
Well when the tornados came through Alabama in 2010 where i lived didnt have power for 42 days. I used the gas i bought the day before to run my generator 2 hrs a day to charge mine and our neighbors phones. I used my gun and fishing equipment to provide fresh meat and fish. I ran my generator also to keep the frig cool. The storms took part of my roof and broke several neighbors windows i was a contractor so i had a whole role of polyethylene and we used nearly all of it evidently you havent prepped much for country folk. Now I'm not much at raising a garden so me and the neighbors did a lot of swapping for the skills i did have. 42 days dont sound that long but i sure was proud to see them Alabama power trucks coming up the mountain to where we lived.
I remember that!!! I'm in AL as well. In the country. I called Lamar billboard offices and got them to donate the billboard skins. They are 10'x20' or 20' x 40' . They take up lots if room in their warehouses and once a commercial is done the companies don't reuse them. As long as they are used ad side down they will donate them to tornado victims to cover their roofs and missing walls. The skins have pockets sewn in so people were building roofs and walls to close in their houses and protect their generators. The skins are much much thicker than tarps and much larger. Plus they are designed to withstand high wind and lots of weather without breaking down.
Electricity and other utilities will shut down if the workers who run the plants get sick. Same as delivery drivers and folks in manufacturing facilities
Most Public Utilities can do without about half their Workforce on any given day for starters, secondly the National Guard and FEMA will step in immediately if it even begins to look like that might happen. It might be a good idea if you actually sat down and read a few documents pertaining to this subject before you just come in and mouth off. What should I expect next from you people? OMG the nuclear facilities are going to blow up Nationwide? Damn man give yourself a break, give everybody else a break, this rot you trotted out - it's pretty much bullshit. And if you were my neighbor and the power went down for a bit you could still come over and charge your phones by going to my house because I have a generator and enough fuel to run it 3 hours a day for 90 days. Chances are pretty good you have a neighbor near you that was way ahead of the game that will help you out. That's what we do in America. 🖤
Power companies in the US specifically pay some employees to remain in quarantine so that there will always be at least some technicians available in case of an issue.
Lestat Angel oh I’m sorry, I forgot, the US is the centre of the world and you are only affected by corona virus and everywhere else in the world has equally advanced power grids, FEMA type agencies and trained individuals that you can just parachute into position when it all goes wrong. It might be a good idea for you to sit down and contemplate that there are other countries outside the USA that are suffering and don’t have the resources of the US federal government before YOU mouth off.
I’ve only been prepping for 18 months, so I’m not an expert, but ... Water, food, shelter (a way to stay safe and secure in your shelter) are basic essentials. It’s the fallout from this disaster that’s important.
Water can be filtered an boiled , coffee filter will do. No chunks of dirt..boil. hard boil , also a pinch of baking soda..helps. also coffee is acidic , brew a pot ,hot Java is good for moral
My wife used to nag me about buying too much emergency food. Guess who isn't complaining any more? And guess who is buying a new "bug out" truck with no complaints from his spouse when this fiasco is over.
Actually it is all in the timing, the preppers today hit the gold mine for being preppers, but throughout time others have not been so lucky, they prepped for things such as y2k and had food and water stocked up in huge amounts only to have to some stuff ruined. It is always a comforting idea to stock up and be prepared even though there is a great chance that it will not be needed. The most important thing for everyone is their relationship with God, because God can prepare us in ways that prepping never can. Luke 12 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. Stocking up is fine just remember that God can and will provide for those that have not stocked up but have trusted in Him. A prepper can still get a virus and die no matter how much they have prepared. God knows if we have trusted more in Him or our prepping knowledge.
We would be thrown back into time before central heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, technology, TV, computers, cell phones, security systems, and people have no clue how to preserve meat without these things.
I know everybody's got their 2 cents to add but if may offer an item that I've found useful; an antidiuretic which helps control diarrhea. When you start eating foods that are unfamiliar to your body it can give you the squirts. Especially if you have a sensitive stomach.
@@Nicolas-zb9uw well duh. You can always was your ass or have a rag to clean. I know about other options. But non of them are as sanitary abd a shower after ever shit is unnecessary misuse of water. Having other options does not make using one of those options irrational.
Another very important note: make sure that you're taking notes and use that to conduct an after action report (AAR) for next time (yes there will be a next time). That way you will be even more prepared.
I took a lot of notes on Hurricane Katrina. Your right about it happening again. Each time a major virus happens it seems to get worse. If you notice, each time a major virus forms it’s more lethal.
Been made the butt of jokes for yeas. My daughter's family ran very low on TP, when I brought them some they asked all surprised where I bought it. I just smiled and said from my storage room.
7:35 I bought a pack of wipes specifically for my doorknobs when I get home, and my PHONE! I’d recommend everyone wipe down their phones often, but especially after being outside. I keep my shopping list on my phone, so unfortunately I have to touch it when I’m shopping, but it gives me peace of mind once I wipe it down and wash my hands at home.
Good video. However water, electricity, gasoline supplies could be disrupted by events other than the virus. There is no guaranty that we will face only one problem at a time.
If things get bad civilized behavior can plummet. One gun and 3 boxes of ammo is always very wise to have even in normal times. Get a little quick access safe to keep kids and visitors from accessing your loaded gun. This is protection as valuable as fire insurance. Police will never arrive in time forget about that.
A lot of people on social security, retirement, disability, etc. get paid once a month and do all shopping for one month at a time. My father was military so I grew up that way and still shop that way. So all paper products and groceries were already stored at home when this pandemic hit. I also already had masks and gloves available at home as I was already caring for an at risk elderly parent.
Plus guns and ammo is important. What if people start to go fucking crazy and then want to steal shit from people due to not having any recourses and having a severe shortage of food, water, Ect...
Also, you can pour a small 4ft x4ft concrete slab, buy a big ole water tank (mine is 450 gallons) and a way to collect rain water and have water to last a long time. In an emergency, you will have plenty and not is little bottles. I also store gallon jugs, and empty mason jars, and yes, bottled water. But you could save a little and get the tank and not have to keep buying little bottles.
During WWII many people had a 'victory garden' in which they grew virtually everything they liked to eat. My parents had a group of friends who would buy meat on the hoof to have processed and preserved by smoking or drying. Those who were fishermen did so year around. We all ate very well for pennys on the dollar.
Not that I would do it, but my neighbor made 74,000 in 3 weeks so far by buying and selling significant amounts of toilet paper, hand cleaner, woodworking masks and survival food. He and his wife now have it down to about $8K per day! From what I read and see, they definitely are not alone. So, I guess it depends why you are buying those things.

Right. Most of us should have a little “extra inventory”. Forget the gloves-they were sold out everywhere weeks ago. Most medical offices cannot get supplies they need to function. If you have extra- call your local medical office if you have some to spare. I know they will be grateful!
Not sure why this came up on my feed but looking back I like the way this person kinda called what you would need and most importantly what you would not. Unfortunately a lot of shortages were caused by ignorance not supply chain.
Getting the needed food items now, might be a little Tricky ! ! When possible, people should work on having at least a 3 month food storage . Buy what you eat, & use on a regular basis ! Something to think about, when this Pandemic is over ! Great Video, Well Delivered words !
I’m convinced this has been around since last year and nobody ever spent the time to “discover” it wasn’t the flu. My boss came back from Italy last April and was super sick... had to be admitted to Henry Mayo hospital in Valencia, CA. They had to cut tubes into his lungs to drain fluid out so he wouldn’t suffocate. They tested him for flu, pneumonia and a ton of other diseases... he came back negative on all of them... they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. He literally almost died in the hospital (he just turned 60 last year and went to Italy for his bday and caught this). I caught it and my assistant caught it... my kids caught it and my ex wife caught it... my kids didn’t get it that bad but my ex and I were destroyed by it for about a month... I test positive for asthma now (never had asthma before) and asthma medication doesn’t help me... so they think I have lung damage from it.... what we all had last April and May is exactly like what has been described... and china is claiming patient 1 came to Wuhan from the US and infected all of China.... so it may not have originated in China... they may have just been the ones to finally isolate and identify it and also realize that it isn’t just some really bad flu.
I might have had it in Oct- Nov 19? It was lower pneumonia & undiagnosed, as they couldn't say what I had! So I asked the Dr for a specific antibiotic & was given it. Then I went back 2nd time & got a stronger dose of same antibiotic & pneumonia went away! I had pneumonia 3 yrs ago so I knew what to do? So I too think that I may have had it? It was 6 wks to 2 mos timeframe!
Mostly good information, but note that gasoline will melt vinyl or plastic gloves. You need nitrile gloves for pumping gas or diesel. Ask any trucker or try it yourself.
If you live in Texas, you should have 3 gallons of water per person for 3-5 days. Have non-perishable food for 30 days, get a camp stove or propane gas grill to cook on, have headlamps and candles, sleeping bags and a camp potty with bags. We ran out of water here in Austin during the power grid collapse. My family was not prepared but I am now.
Gas price are expected to dropped under $1, why not stock up on gas when that happens? Max you are legally allowed to have is 100 gallons. Keep that in mind.
Hahahaha, I live in a rural area where hunting is a holiday celebration so guns are a big deal, everybody is really happy they have another “reason” to get another gun :))
Thank you for sharing this. Your channel has been such an incredible resource and it’s helped me and my family stay focused, strategic, and calm instead of running with the chaotic crowd.
1. Food (up to 2 months worth) 2. Prescription meds 3. Cold meds & cough drops 4. Lysol or clorox wipes 5. Gloves 6. Masks (m95) 7. Yoga lessons (to kiss you a$$ goodbye) No guns eh? Obviously he is not in Baltimore or Salisbury.
@Darrell Knox All jokes aside I hope everyone is holding up well. My job in Pa is closed for 14 days. I have already eaten a small jar of peanut butter 🤔
I work in power and water and believing it will always stay up is not a smart idea.. the crews are so thin for various reasons it’s possible for there to be a disruption in them.. it’s not the virus we need guns for it’s for the idiots who would be too stupid to ask nicely for a piece of bread..
I am Dutch. From the Netherlands. I have to do groceries using a BIKE. I can only transport 3-5 days max and if I bring toiletpapier every time I go out there it means I can bring more food stuff the next time I go out.
Most municipalities maintain a 30 day stockpile of chemicals necessary to treat untreated water into potable water. If there is a breakdown in supply chains, you may want to have a supply of drinking water.
They have the buckets at Walmart for like 25 or 30 bucks. You can’t find Clorox or Lysol wipes. Also it’s been saying it can kill Corona virus for years . What it doesn’t say is SARS
Great advice if we're only dealing with a pandemic but I think the pandemic may be cover for a controlled global economic restructuring. The current economic system is unsustainable with or without a "pandemic".
Here we can defend ourselves with nice blunt objects and sticks... Guns difficult and takes months to get one... After police and governor ok it.......... So I got a sword! And a machete! ☺ To use after I unload a co2 clip full of rubber balls on a thiefs face... For what that's worth...
Stocking up on medication is a great idea. Unfortunately, insurance companies only allow you to renew prescriptions at certain intervals. Was three days too soon for a heart med and the pharmacy would not refill my meds. I depend on others to pick up my meds and there are days when these people are not available.
Ha! I bought an industrial-size roll of TP today and also peanut butter. I keep two month's food and TP supply on hand but decided to go for three months. Buying from five stores and one woman selling veggies out of her truck I was able to get enough to comfortably shelter in home for three months I also planted potatoes two days ago so at the end of three months I will at least have potatoes to eat if it's a SHTF world. I'm planting a dozen every week. Where i live, planting season last 365 days a year.
There was some misinformation floating around talking about toilet paper plants in China being shut down, which would lead to a shortage in a few weeks or months. I think that played quite a bit of a role as well. Then other people saw how little toilet paper was available and thought, “If i don’t get it now, it may be gone!” Then people freaked that there was not TP. Then when it was restocked, they bought a ton so they’d not miss their chance again. It’s like a herd running... not all of them saw what spooked them or if it’s a huge threat or not, but they’re not about to stick around and find out, so they run too. People are just running away with themselves to a degree. The fact that a lot of the toilet paper issues happened while the president was still kinda downplaying the severity of the virus is interesting to me. It shows that it wasn’t fear of a big government reaction that would keep everyone at home as much as, “These people are buying toilet paper, lots of it. I better get it while I can!”

@@lestatangel 👏👏👏👏 Truth
Good lord. Our grandparents stocked up for such issues. You know, victory gardens, canning , hunting, sales on canned goods.

You are not exactly correct. Yes many folks from a few generations ago did stock up on items, I remember in my house, my dad would buy like a years worth of stuff at a time. This was not because he was a prepper. It was because he was a farmer, and only got paid once a year.
You can survive for 3 weeks without food but only 3 days without water.

42 days dont sound that long but i sure was proud to see them Alabama power trucks coming up the mountain to where we lived.
skin a buck and run a trotline, a country boy can survive...
Good for you.🙂🤠
I remember that!!!

Luke 12
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
We start eating one meal a dayMy . grandma has 4 begs of 50lb rice 🍚 and soy sauce enough for 6 months.
So, if our power grid was attacked while during a pandemic, how would you think the overall picture would change?
We would be thrown back into time before central heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, technology, TV, computers, cell phones, security systems, and people have no clue how to preserve meat without these things.
So, a year later, after over 500,000 dead, do you have any alterations to the recommendations?
I know everybody's got their 2 cents to add but if may offer an item that I've found useful; an antidiuretic which helps control diarrhea. When you start eating foods that are unfamiliar to your body it can give you the squirts. Especially if you have a sensitive stomach.
Survival Know How: DON'T BUY TOILET PAPER

@@Nicolas-zb9uw I would much rather have TP than a wet washcloth, but that will do in a pinch.
@@Nicolas-zb9uw well duh. You can always was your ass or have a rag to clean. I know about other options. But non of them are as sanitary abd a shower after ever shit is unnecessary misuse of water. Having other options does not make using one of those options irrational.

Literally.
Another very important note: make sure that you're taking notes and use that to conduct an after action report (AAR) for next time (yes there will be a next time). That way you will be even more prepared.
Dude i have questions for you
I took a lot of notes on Hurricane Katrina.
He said not to stock up on bottled water but I guess he never heard of Flint Michigan 🤦🏾♂️
Not everyone lives in Flint. There are exceptions to every rule.
Most of Michigan’s water is shit.
Here in south east Michigan we got PFAS.
Flint Michigan can happen anywhere. Stay prepped! 🌊
If you have to move for ones without a bunker you can only carry so much water
S.HERVEY617 he’s white, why would he know about flint
Good video. However water, electricity, gasoline supplies could be disrupted by events other than the virus. There is no guaranty that we will face only one problem at a time.
Right!!! In the 70's we had odd even gas days based in your tag and long long lines to get gas.
@@BurtSanders Sorry, no, the 2nd amendment says the military personnel who try that will be punished.
Acra Tone umm do you remember Katrina? Haha
3 boxes of ammo? Maybe 3 cases but more would be better. I have thousands of rounds as well as the ability to reload.
@@Sam1628 Do you remember the legislation passed after Katrina, and the law suits against law enforcement after Katrina?

A lot of people on social security, retirement, disability, etc. get paid once a month and do all shopping for one month at a time. My father was military so I grew up that way and still shop that way. So all paper products and groceries were already stored at home when this pandemic hit. I also already had masks and gloves available at home as I was already caring for an at risk elderly parent.
Thanks for the good tips and keeping a calm tone to your videos. Subscribed.
DO NOT LISTEM TO THIS MAN. WATER IS NUMBER ONE. HE DOESNT KNOW THE FUTURE. STOCK THE MOST YOU CAN
Plus guns and ammo is important. What if people start to go fucking crazy and then want to steal shit from people due to not having any recourses and having a severe shortage of food, water, Ect...
If you have cats, you can rinse out those huge plastic jugs their litter comes in, and use for water storage.
You need to stock up on toilet paper.Aclean bottom is a healty bottom.
Man you dont know sh..
Exactly what I said. When I heard that , I was like what.
The real thing I should have stocked up on is stock in hand sanitizer and toilet paper companies
Exactly
Now is the time to buy your stocks, while the stock market has tanked. I'm surprised no one is mentioning this.
They've had CHRISTMAS SEASON type sales, if not surpassed that
To each their own.
If you don't stock up on stuff people are stocking up on you will not be stocked.

Gee let me see which one I would pick, a FEMA camp or self quarantine at home 😆😆

Not sure why this came up on my feed but looking back I like the way this person kinda called what you would need and most importantly what you would not. Unfortunately a lot of shortages were caused by ignorance not supply chain.
Thank you so much for this. Please... stay safe.
Getting the needed food items now, might be a little Tricky ! ! When possible, people should work on having at least a 3 month food storage . Buy what you eat, & use on a regular basis ! Something to think about, when this Pandemic is over ! Great Video, Well Delivered words !
go down to 2meals per day
I’m convinced this has been around since last year and nobody ever spent the time to “discover” it wasn’t the flu.
I think you are right!!!
Edward Jones ...yup. You might have. Very possible.
Actually you should stock up on gas. This is the lowest price it's had in years. So huge savings!
My dad has been over the moon about it. 😂 In my hometown it was as low as it was when my Dad was in college.
and nowhere to go ?
I keep no less than a half tank right now. My thought is if I need to drive to 50-60 miles away to stay with family, I want to know I have enough gas.
Don't forget to get long time stabilizers to prevent gas from going bad. And don't store it in your house or any building connected to your house.
I mis those prices. They are right back up where I am now ☹
Mostly good information, but note that gasoline will melt vinyl or plastic gloves.
Controlers
Bull shit. It depends on where you live as to how much you can have. Some places it’s as little as 2.5 gallons. Other places have no restrictions.
Also Gas goes bad and can't be stored for long periods of time.
Kevin Willbur Exactly! It doesn’t hurt to have some extra gas stored safely away.
Laurie J Kase you can put a stabilizer in it

Nice to see I’m getting this video recommended to me a full year later. Thanks StupidTube.....
It was fun to watch what didn’t happen.
With supply lines disrupted the was many stories in the news about concerns that water treatment plants could not get the chemicals they needed!
"What's for dinner?"
"Toilet paper."
If the electricity gets shut off so does the water.
I work in power and water and believing it will always stay up is not a smart idea.. the crews are so thin for various reasons it’s possible for there to be a disruption in them.. it’s not the virus we need guns for it’s for the idiots who would be too stupid to ask nicely for a piece of bread..
Got everything I need years ago 🇺🇸
After hard rains, parts of Houston have to boil their water. We keep gallons.
Safety glasses also with the masks and gloves. the eyes are open to viruses also.
Watching this on March 17th & most of the things mentioned are already gone from most stores.
They have the buckets at Walmart for like 25 or 30 bucks. You can’t find Clorox or Lysol wipes. Also it’s been saying it can kill Corona virus for years . What it doesn’t say is SARS
Watching this video 7 months after it came out, you were right on the money with everything!
Great advice if we're only dealing with a pandemic but I think the pandemic may be cover for a controlled global economic restructuring. The current economic system is unsustainable with or without a "pandemic".

No one's worried about a shortage on toilet paper? We're worried about a total lockdown.
@@SunflowerSpotlight my personal opinion, I can't rely on the government's word. And I do not trust the just I'm time system. But I get what your saying,
