  • Here's a brief video of the daily Belt Line local heading to JIF and back, crossing the Newtown Pike crossing. Sometime over the spring, the mechanical bells have been replaced with new WCH electronic bells. The only downside is that they aren't as loud as the old bells were. The Third Street crossing still has its mechanical bells in place as of now.

Nice video and crossing! Shame the mechanical bells here are now gone.

Thanks! Oh yeah! I hate that they’re gone now! In a way I’m glad they didn’t go with the GS or NEG bells, but the problem is, the new bells on this road are not really loud enough!

When does this train come through this crossing usually. I would love to catch it sometime as its a short bike ride away.

It varies, but I normally see it early in the morning heading to the JIF plant on Winchester Road, then it will return in the afternoon.
