She has the issue completely wrong about the masks. The issue is ventilation and the problem of suffocation due to breathing in previously exhaled carbon dioxide. This raises the levels of carbon dioxide in your body while also lowering your blood oxygen level. Low blood oxygen levels such as 90% and lower require patients to be placed on ventilators. The issue with masks is slow suffocation, not rebreathing the virus. If you want to feel the effects, wear a mask the next time you work out. I absolutely guarantee that you don't perform as well.
