Absolutely beautiful version .. such lovely harmonies. Thank you so much girls for doing 'River' .. a song I have loved from the Blue Album for many, many years. It's honest, vulnerable and sad beauty haunted me then, as it still does today.
It is about the terrible wrench of Joni giving up her baby daughter for adoption ... many years later they were reunited and I hope healed her pain she had carried.
