What pound coil do you run on the rear? As a fellow big guy weighing about 235 pounds, I'm trying to gauge where I would land for a coil on a bike with a similar leverage ratio
Maybe it was just for me but todays video 1080 looked liked 720 normally does and I had to go to 1440 to quality back to what I am use to seeing in your vids. Thank you. Also how steep we talking, 35%? 42%?
@@bsv01 Magura has (I think) 3 different pad offerings for the MT5 and MT7 brakes. You might want to try one of the different pad options as there is a tradeoff in braking power vs durability and smoothness vs "grabbiness". Also 220 / 203mm rotor combination works wonders for any brake on a 29" big bike :)
Hey, could anyone recommend a good enduro bike? ive been on a $300 costco bike with 80mm of travel, and think its time for an upgrade. i have around $4k saved up and not particularly shy about spending some or most of it on a new bike.
@@actually_a_mothSpecialized Enduro or YT Capra. I’ve ridden both and like the Enduro better. Even the Stumpjumper EVO is a stellar trail/enduro bike if you want something that climbs better. I love my Pivot Switchblade but that may be out of your price point you’re asking for.
If any average mtb rider sees this trail and thinks “hey, I could do that” just look at the trail in 3d mode on Trailforks and you’ll never be fooled by the GoPro effect again
I am guessing Nick and the crew are going to be changing brake pads after. this ride it would. be advisable you’ll never off them on a trail like this and quite fitting that Nick is in Golden Just like his channel these trails are just exactly that a video without Dave I feel sad just as well because God knows what Sketchy ass lines he will be taking on this trail😂😂
wow. nice trail. greatings from the Alps!
Thanks for showing us how amazing riding bikes can be
looks amazing, excellent technical skills on those loose and steep ones.
This should have more views. Great footage.
thanks!
Golden has always been one place I'd love to ride. Amazing views, thank you for taking us along.
Rad brah
did you know if you touch you brake rotors after a steep downhill it will give you a strength boost
I thought it just taught you new words.
Hay-Seuss! That trail must have demanded its own single use set of brake pads!
SICK as always!!...Bet you had to up grade your brake pads soon after? lol
Nice! I gotta get out to that trail one of these summers.
Loveeee the content man
When you stop and look back it really shows the steeps

side note, i was considering a yt capra, so if you have suggestions similar to it that would be great.

The views are insane
ur pads have been rubbing against the rotor the entire video :D
Just think.... Folks used to hit this trail at race pace, during the Psychosis days....
Amazing decent ! What was the vertical?
Just under 5000ft from launch pad to parking lot
Did I just see the new endorphin on your Insta360 ad? 👀👀 When is THAT coming out on your channel?
Next week 😉
New toys!
Oh wow!
It's crazy how high up you guys are even at 14 minutes into the video.
Sooooooo cool 🤙🏾
brake pads got to be smokin
Brakes must be on fire
Your poor brakes….thanx for scaring the shit out of us!, no “GoPro” effect with insta360
Sounds like you warped your rotors on the way down haha. That’s steep steep.

Did you avoid riding that steep part in the woods? Or it just doesn't look that steep on a camera.
Nice DOG!
I think you will need some new brake pads.
