Basil Valdez is the best singer. He sung most of the songs Canseco composed. Powerful and commanding yet in full control. His voice is rich and full. His voice, the song of a remarkable film back in the 80s.

I agree with you , but would classify Basil as having the best voice quality. That deep baritone is a gift. However, there are better singers. Singing involves letting the audience in into the emotions of the song. I rate Gary V and Rico J better in having the listener feel the song. Gary V’s Di na Natuto and Rico J Kapalaran are good examples. But voice quality , Basil hands down.

Kuh Ledesma has a distinct voice and she is great. Valdez is one remarkable voice. Zsa zsa padilla and martin and gary all deliver and best in their craft. Rico is powerful too in his voice.
