My kit worked perfectly for one night next day only front side and passenger side was working everything is plugged up correctly and nothings melted what do you think is wrong i can connect to the app and everything but the back and driver side not powering on
Don’t forget, you can also clean the area where you’re putting the lights at and don’t for get to put gorilla double sided tape or use alien tape it works really good just make sure that it’s waterproof alien, tape, or gorilla tape.
Oh man I did mine where I put it in my cigarette lighter thing. The box is inside my car next to me and I just click a button to turn it on and off. If you out it on battery you will have to move it every time you need a replacement battery or a jump you know ? But to each is own.
And if you cut an led I doubt it will but when you hook it to the positive and negative studs you can check if it works before you start installing under vehicle
Hey man, I have the exact same kit, but I soldered mine to a 12 volt plug to go in place of a cheaper kit I already had rigged. (just didnt feel like drilling anymore holes.) I couldn't get the color to change on the app, but I could get the pattern to change. Any tips or ideas??
I can't connect to the app...I feel like there is something I'm doing wrong maybe. I hooked up all the strips and they get power, they flash white, blue, red, and green. I turn on bluetooth and make it visable to all. (Note i can see that the kit is available) i open the alpena app. I click agree. I choose underglow (the kit I'm using) it scans and fails to connect, I've tried so many times...nothing. I've uninstall/reinstall the app. My location is on. I've disconnected the kit from power source and reconnected....what am I doing wrong? Is there a trick or tip?
@@ddietz_tube4343 I figured out the problem, for some reason I have to choose "exterior command" instead of "underglowz" as the product. I'm happy with the product. The extension wires were to short to distribute the lights evenly so I had to use extensions from the kit I got for the interior.
I’m having the same problem with mine, like I was able to connect to them once but after that I can’t connect to them again, even after I choose all the options. Any tips?

Thank you so much you made it so easy and not complicated. This is gonna look great on my 2000 Chevy suburban.
Nice. I just put mine on😂now im living life in the rice lane

The 3rd wire or antenna did you connect it anywhere in particular?
red wire connect to positive and black wire connect to negative battery or not
I just got mines and watching your video so I can do it
Awesome! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask!
Is it safe to put it in the engine bay? I heard it can overheat and ruin the power source
Haven’t had no problems with the heat, but I do have the vent installed on the hood. So I would recommend just keeping an eye on it
Loved it. You didn't used a fuse? I'll use it in mine cuz Kias are known for bursting on fire lol

I have a tahoe. Seems like I need double the length in extension cords. Is that possible?
Most definitely, extra never hurts as well haha
How did u connect the sides and the back as well and what if I cut one led will it still work
I had to go to autozone and buy a pack of 4 extensions. To get all the way around ( under the trunk to the driver side )
And if you cut an led I doubt it will but when you hook it to the positive and negative studs you can check if it works before you start installing under vehicle
What if the wire falls down on the sides
How did you run the wires
How do u turn it off if you're connecting to battery direct? I don't get it
On the app there is a master power button on the top right to turn on and off instantly👍
@@ddietz_tube4343 and it doesn’t drain the battery when the car is off ?

None at all they work just fine!
And I got a 2014 avenger ✊🏾

Delete the app and re download it, makes sure you are selecting the right product name from the list!

@@kimberlyram1106 I've had that happen from time to time. Didn't really find any solution just try again later type of thing.
careful with wiring straight to the battery thats going to cause parasidic drain even when off and will slowly kill your battery when car is off
How do u prevent that

Is this the 100 bucks kit u bought?
I believe it was 70 on clearance at Walmart when I got it.
Is this the 136 inch kit?
One of mine only light up orange and won’t change 🤦🏽♂️
Does this work for 4 door cars? I have a chrysler 300
Yes you will just need to buy the extra extension pieces as I mention in the video👍
@@ddietz_tube4343 ok thankyou
How would I put it in a 2013 Subaru Outback?
Install the exact same way. You might just need an extra extension pack.
Were you able to install it?
Will it work without the engine running?
Yes lol
How do I put them on a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire
Wrap the copper wiring around the battery terminals. Just spice further down the wiring to have more copper to work with 👍
Thinking about purchasing these, what did you mean by extensions??
At autozone you can find extensions that match the connections that comes with kit
DDIETZ_ Tube ooh okay thanks
What underglow pack is it
www.walmart.com/ip/Alpena-EZLink-LED-Command-Exterior-RGB-Light-Strip-Kit-112/833470979
They don’t give you enough wire for four door cars like Honda Accord.
Autozone has extra wiring
Catch the gapppp
Damn I have a 97 homda accord and getting them installed. I hope it fits
I bought a second underglow kit, but the app will only recognize one at a time. Has anyone ever spliced two kits together on the single controller?
@terminator981000 Instead of capping off the end add your other kit to it it will work on the same control box
@@angeldiaz-gw4ol I inquired with Alpena and they told me it may burn out the controller if I spliced them both together

Has it killed you battery
No I have not had any issues with battery drainage since installing but I do rarely turn it on.
Yea it happen to me did u come up wid a solution to keep it on the same battery without it draining?
How you get the wires not hanging Down on the ground
Zip Ties 💯 there’s point around the car that you can zip tie the wires
Do you go under the axle when going around the tires?
Are you having problems with the app?

Waste of money man I bought this and it won’t connect to my iPhone….. I tried other Device and it won’t connect to anything
Reach out to Alpena and try to get a refund or even a new one, if you’ve tried troubleshooting for everything already
red wire connect to positive and black wire connect to negative battery or not
Yes
I connected ground to a bolt in my trunk (my battery is in the trunk) powers it fine.
How did you connect the extensions
They connect normally like the wiring with the kit
