I wonder why people think that 200 US$ was much money for prime models. When I grew up in the 90s my first pair had been the Air Max2 Uptempo Duke colorway which was sold at 270 DM in Germany (180-200 US$, the dollar was weak at that time). That had been about 140 € (yes, the Euro did not yet exist). Including inflation of 2 % those 140 € would be 240 € today corresponding to 270 US$ today! 😉
Best looking J since the start of the 30’s, would have liked to have seen a 3/4 top though. This shoe gives me hope that j’s might one day transition back to a luxery shoe, since this shoe seems to be straddling the line between both. J’s were never really about having the “best” performance, that was Michael’s job. The shoes were there to make him look good doing it.

I tried these on today. Wow they feel way better than the 37, and the materials feel nice. Responsive at the forefoot, as opposed to the excessive bounciness in the 37, and the cushion at the heel is nice, which I prefer.

I think it's a good shoe. I've had no issues traction wise even with dust build up. Cushion is great. It's all I have been playing in since I bought it. Expensive but I feel it's a great shoe. Interested to see if they make a low. Definitely will get more
@DderronB27 hopefully they are made different. I haven't put that many hours into the shoe and the traction is separating from the sole. I don't even play that aggressive.

Matter of fact it is too much for basketball shoes folks will burn through playing ball. $160.00 /$175.00 max feels right for MJ and Lebron and Kobe. Billion Dollar Nike is milking it's fan base. THIS SHOE IS TRUE TO SIZE even for 2E wide feet.
These joints should be true-to-size. I am sorta wide feet and before I had the 35s which I had 45.5 but here 45 is alright. Goingup half-size would leave some extra space on all sides . Better try them in-store. I think they are very good. Definitely much better experience than the 35s which was my last model of these joints. Definitely like them more than 35s. Break-in for me was almost not necessary. 35s on the other hand were a headache at the beginning until they settle in. But overall, satisfied. If you got them dollar bills ,why not. I really like the 38s but thats my cents.
Every shoe you review these days is "Up half a size" --- Have you recently measured your feel to determine if your foot size has increased? You may want to do that before you continue to recommend "Up half a size". Maybe your feet are now an 8 instead of 7.5US
I think every Jordan shoe always releases in the Fundamental colorway first since it’s the color scheme of the Chicago Bulls, the team that Michael Jordan played on
I’d advise everyone to go to a store to pick these up. It’s best to look at the outsole to find any glue issues or separation. QC isn’t the best on these but if you get a good pair, they’re easily top shoe of the year performance wise. First pair had to be returned for outsole issues, but the second pair 👌🏾🔥

Guys I promise you the KD 15 or 16s are nowhere near as bouncy as the Jordan 38s like Sammy says in this video. He is misleading with that info the KD 15s cushion is lackluster. The 16s are even worse. The Jordan 38’s cushion is lit
Mine finally got here yesterday. So happy the full length Zoom strobel is back. All is well again in the Jordan world. I like the overall look of the shoe, but wish they had used the Chenile tongue of the 8 on the 38.

My experience on a dusty court usually the kicks that has translucent rubber sometimes slips. But for those with EP solid rubber version it works perfectly, outdoor or indoor.

The Asian launch version comes with a solid rubber XDR sole.

Lows are confirmed. Brandon Ingram had them on while training. You can find a couple snapshots on them.
