- I was originally going to take the Eurostar from London to Paris. However, after the stressful and moist-making experience I had on the Paris to London sector, I decided to fly instead.
So, it was a choice between Air France and British Airways. As a Qantas member, it was a no brainer. I choice the fellow One World alliance member...British Airways.
My BA flight from London to Paris was in Club Europe Class, or business class. This entitled me to check-in via a desk and access the most pleasant BA Galleries lounge in Terminal 5.
After a great breakfast feast, I made my way to gate 10C. This is where things fell apart. None of the BA ground crew knew what they were doing. They were hustling passengers from one line to another. As I was flying Club Europe, I stood where the signs told me to stand. A BA staff told me to move as I wasn't entitled to stand there. After I showed her my club europe ticket, she huffed and moved on to yell at the next pax...who incidentally was also a business class passenger.
The flight was 100% full and passengers were asked to volunteer their cabin bags to be checked into the hull. They would then be given prioirty boarding. No one volunteered so they screamed over the PA that it no one volunteers their bags, crew will make the decision instead.
As the aircraft was on a remote stand, the crammed the bus full of pax. Shoulder to shoulder. When we reached the aircraft, we had to wait a further 15mins in the bus. We were not advised why there was a delay. Note, the air conditioning on the bus was struggling and everyone was sweating profusely.
Thankfully, once we boarded the aircraft, things smoothed out. Service improved exponentially and got a decent feed.
I fly frequently in economy and premium classes in Australia and Asia. As such, my expectations are relatively high. The BA ground experience was absolutely abysmal. However, the inflight cabin service was absolutely faultless. The cabin hardware (seat) was suitable for a short 1hr flight. However, I would be immensely disappointed if the flight was longer as the seat was just not comparable to the price paid.

Is flying premium classes on such a short flight worth it?
Absolutely worth it
The views from the aircraft are nothing short of spectacular! I love salmon. I have been inspired to have salmon on sour dough bread for breakfast on Christmas Day this year! Maybe with just a little Meredith Farm Goat Cheese as well! Thank you for the video! I am sorry I missed this when you first released it! Stunning cinematography!

14:24 did u have to pay for the meal or the meal comes with being in business? was all food and drink complimentary or u had to pay?
All Club Euro (European business class) are inclusive of food and beverage. Completely complimentary. In my opinion, well worth the $ as you get increased checkin and cabin luggage allowance, airport lounge access and priority boarding. I will be flying BA to EDI in a few weeks and will absolutely be flying in Club Euro.

That's business class? Not impressed.
When compared with Australian or Asian domestic business class it's inferior for sure but the incabin service and offering made up for the shortfall
Remember it was a very short flight, tip is to take advantage of the food and beverage available in the lounge.
Seems bizzare though that the ground crew were in a complete mess at boarding its not as though they haven't dealt with a non air bridge boarding before.
