Doing well, next thing to work on is track positioning especially leading up to a corner.
With that you'll be able to take corners faster and therefore be able to over take as your lap times will be faster
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but downshifting to 2nd is a good idea for the first few turns. Big bend and left hander are long turns that can utilize engine braking. If you stab the brake too late in those turns you can get some inadvertent oversteer.
Glad to see everyone loving the progress and hope you're having fun too!
I would also recommend the Relative (F3) black box to give you intervals between cars since your on track info is limited.
Thanks I'll try that out!
Hi,new her but anyway there are many things you could work on. A simple way to improve is to "drumroll please" drive. Test, drive, and test even more. coming from your first video, there is a huge leap of improvement. Just dont force yourself as in at this stage of your career. You need to figure your limit on what you're comfortable with. Racing lines are also really important. There are loads of videos to help out with this! Furthermore, focus on your own driving it was your first time racing, and you focused so much on the other drivers that you forgot your own car's placement, resulting in a couple of tracks. No big deal. it's a learning stage. Next time you race, you first focus on getting round the track with you own comfortable speed and see if you can keep up and look at what the AI is doing different from you and work from there.
This is btw. Just my opinion feel free to roast me😁✌️
Anyway, I loved the video, cheers!
All good! constructive criticism always welcome here I'll keep working at it thanks!
I noticed your force feed back is almost always maxed out. You need to adjust that. An easy way to fix is to bring up your black box and scroll to I think its in car settings. At the bottom you'll see a number followed by nm. After you drive a lap or so a clickable button will appear that will say auto. Click this and it will automatically set the correct FFB. You'll need to do this for each car. It seems you'll just be with the mx5 for now so don't worry about doing it more than the one time.
Thank you I'll give this a shot!
Is it just me or is that Field of View super wide .... dang son, depends on the monitor setup though so might just be me
Might be wide not sure someone suggested raising it a bit to see more
You need to measure how far your eyes are from your monitor, and how big your monitor is, as well as the bezels on your monitor. There is an in game tool where you put that info in and it tells you what FOV to use
