Those women cited in this clip certainly deserve recognition, but so to the dozens of other women who ride races, exercise horses, start colts, groom, and train horses on tracks and training farms all over the country. The women pioneering as race riders, even before Diane Crump and Kathy Kusner came around, might not be celebrated now, but they certainly deserve it.
Rosie had that special touch that is shared by the greatest of jockeys. Horses just ran for her and seemed to give that special effort that maybe other riders couldn't get out of them. Love the fact that she greatly involved in the future of OTTB. The horses certainly deserve it!
It's clearly not a profession highly attractive to women. In the middle of reading "Seabiscuit" by Lauren Hillenbrand and the inside look at the difficulty of being a jockey as well as the injury rate ...it's notvsurprising it's a male dominated field.
Whoever wrote this story whoever created the story whoever brought it to my eyes and my ears great job well done very very very very very very beautiful!

Steeplechase jumping a great spot for them
July, crown, didn't ride in, the Kentucky derby, she was, the best, female American jockey,in, my time just asking
Equestrian sports men & women are equal wether it's show jumping, dressage, or eventing just like horse racing ..
Rosie you were great miss you made money on you in saratoga.
I would love to do that. I know how to clean stables. Oh and I can cook. ✌️💙🏇🏇🏇
Probably because being top heavy slows a horse, they slow me down all the time.

Female jockeys are not as strong as male jockeys.
