- Such a beautiful park, but no one camps here. Whats wrong with this park? Located in the beautiful mountains of Jamestown, Kentucky. We tour the park and discover the campground is dead. You decide if this park is a great place to camp or is it a park to be avoided.

RV area looks pretty nice. Looks like they need to convert some of those tent sites into RV sites. This is too far for a weekend, but looks nice if we are in that area.
I was thinking the same that the campground needs a remodel. It appears that the park is Def making money off the marina, looked like all of the boat slips was filled.
Nice park, beautiful scenery and looks like lots of deer. But rv camping area small compared to tent camping. So may be a hard park to get into in the fall time, but worth a try if your in the area. Rv sites appear to be very nice and very level.
The RV loop was nice, locking some shade for the hotter months I'm sure.
I would stay there looks peaceful. It would be interesting to see why so empty. Maybe they should take some of the tent sites and make rv spots. Even if it was dry camping. The view of the lake was pretty.
