My MT version was delivered Monday. Overall it's a decent truck and great value. The suspension really lets it down in my eyes. There's to much tire scrub through the shock travel causing twitchy handling and the shocks are poorly sprung and valved and or the oil is to thin. The front of my chassis was almost touching right out the box and it took a whole lot of pre load to raise it up. Even then it didn't properly rebound. These might be usable with tuning but there's still the known issue of the non threaded shock shaft on at least some of them. Even with the shocks sorted the is still the tire scrub issue and that can only be addressed through arm and or mounting changes. Bad suspension geometry can't be tuned out. While this won't be challenging the 4s Arrma trucks for best in class it also didn't challenge them in the checkout line. If the suspension issues can be sorted for less than the price difference in this and the Arrma rigs I'll still say Redcat has been on a better roll lately than everyone else besides possibly Arrma. I wish them continued success so they will keep on pushing out all new rigs for us. I really want an electric 5th scale Typhon type buggy and think Redcat just might be the one to make it for me.
Let’s give a round of applause to redcat. Maybe this will force other companies to lower the price
Redcat is killing it! 🤘
Nice Vid,... Truggy is the one I want 👍 Sweet Rig
