Could always swap it to a 3.4
The 3.0 is a hard no go for me lol

@@JustinTBraun yeah ive heard all sorts of bad things about the 3.0, not really sure what to make of it. I can live with the lack of power since the wheeling I wanna do is close and speed limits are low but if its popping headgaskets all the time and being unreliable its a hard no from me

They are so rad. And a hell of a lot cheaper to build lol

    Performing well.
But after getting hung up on the rock, I guess you’re going to have to look into a set of 58” tires 🤭

🤣🤣 58s would look sick on the little yota lol. Probably would barely move on the highway though haha

I am going to have to build a snorkel for my 82 yota hilux (I HAVE A 3INCH BODY LIFT AND A SET OF AFTERMARKET LEAF SPRINGS-UNDER THE FRONT AND A SET OF BLOCKS UNDER THE BACK ,PLAN TO PUT DUEL SHACKELES UNDER THE FRONT AND BACK, have a heavy duty bumper on the front and a tube on the rear. Of course plan on putting about 6,500hundred pound winch on the front bumper (I NEED HELP PLANING A EXO CAGE)! I Hope to put Chevy 1/2ton axles under it/doing away with the stock bed.

    I have a 81, 5.29
    35 km3s,
My biggest issue is these tires have vibration at usually the 56 give or take area of speed, but 3000 rpm’s I’m running the 22r about 68, somewhere in there,
If I keep it at 60 I am getting 20 mpg, which I am very happy with,I start suffering at 70 though, wind , no problem pulling that speed, I could run 80, but it’s drinking gas at that point,,
Running outlaw weber carb, 290 cam,,header , 21/2 exhaust, if I switch over to propane, still pulls but I don’t get near the gas mileage
Gearing helps the 22r a lot
I don’t think I would b happy with the performance if I went to 37s,

@@JustinTBraun thank you for all the great videos. 😁
I'm in process of building an '84 extended cab Toyota truck.
So far... 2.7L 3rz engine swap, 5.29 gears, front spartan locker, warn winch on 37's.
I just picked up most the stuff to install dual cases including 4.7 23 spline gears.
My trail gear crossmember should be here Friday. 😁
I have a e-locker out of an 01 Tacoma that I'm putting in the rear axle along with the chevy 63 springs.
Can't wait to wheel it this spring. 🤘
      Love your build. 🔥🔥🔥
