    I rarely post comments. Thank you . A great and very direct lecture full of great materials without click baits like “…….do this now” with funny faces. I have been selling put options for quite some time now and this video already answered some of my questions without me asking 😂
    Thank you👍
    I just subbed 👍👍

    Very useful indeed. I have profited a lot (about 20%+ per month) with just short put spread. Still not confident if Jade IC or BWB will add benefit but will try. I also like the Put Condor. Thanks.

    Well, it is hard to find short call spread with a premium higher than width of the spread. It is in fact zero risk position, I suppose hard to find in normal market conditions. Or do you mean total premium combined with short put spead and short call spread?

    Do you have video that talks about investment capital (with margin and without), how to manage and diversify, risk management and what is in fact possible with $50k, $100k, $300k, $600k and $1mil. And what is realistic P/L annual for different capital and different strategies. For example if you have $600k and 30% annual +P/L people would think they will make $180k +P/L but this is not true because you do not make 30% because not 100% of capital is engaged/risked/allocated at all time. Unless there is margin account with 100% margin and then playing $600k with another $600k margin - well that is only for people that they breath options and risk.

    I did Iron condor last year unfortunately not profitable with market going up. Changed to BWB and it have 100% win rate so far. But BWB yet to be tested since no major drop. Some occasional small drop will yield extra credit when closing

    Great channel love the content and expertise.
    I have TSLA 205C 7/12.
    With TSLA now at 230 what is the best play in this scenario? I’m thinking about rolling up and out @ TSLA 215C 8/16. This trade will be a wash when it comes to a buy to close and then a sell to open (roll) concerning the premiums, actually a slight credit ($200). Plus I have 3 contracts so it will be a $3000 credit with the gain of 10 points of intrinsic value.
    Is this the best play?

    I like selling the put spreads but especially of late it seems its difficult waiting for oversold situations. Lets face the spy qqq have been upward and onward so you'd be sitting watching . I saw one of your other videos where you had as i recall about 27 out of 28 wins and in that video you were not afraid of assignment ie wheel type premium selling. Might not that type of income selling be just as suitable for retirement and of course sticking with the AAPL's AMZN's Spy's, Qqq's and the like ?

    • @optionswithdavis
      @optionswithdavis  Месяц назад +2

      Yup, you can certainly do the wheel strategy (ruclips.net/video/dt5DXt5G-T4/видео.htmlsi=P8yPaXSL907J0lvX) but it's much more capital intensive. Whereas the strategies shared in this video can be used on a smaller account.

      @@optionswithdavis Thanks Davis , OK fine I understand. I do this with SPY and QQQ with a way OTM put so for example 540 sell 470 buy $420 ish total credit 7-31exp then dont worry too much about the 470 as its cost is about 20 bucks . Might even sell it and take assignment then sell real close call maybe for the next week. Take care and have a good one

    How do you deal psychologically with the meagre premium of the spreads strategies even though they do have a high win rate? Slow and steady?

    • @optionswithdavis
      @optionswithdavis  Месяц назад +5

      You can either:
      1. Change the construct so the premium is no longer meagre.
      2. Aim for the max profit on your trades.
      3. Trade debit strategies so you have better risk-to-reward ratio.
      4. Trade a combination of credit & debit strategies to have a mix of both.

      Yes

    For greatly increased clarity, I would suggest showing actual trades, for which expiration dates and strike prices. Actual trade examples give much clearer guidance that just a term like "short put spread", which can be confusing for those still trying to learn options strategies. For example, I have traded many hundreds of covered calls and some cash-secured puts, but I have never entered combination option (2 or more simultaneous options) because I am less clear on the potential outcome and risks.

    this video is very difficult for a trader new to options to follow. not enough real world examples, not enough profit/loss numbers. hard to get a clear picture of what is being conveyed here unless you already have months or years of trading options.
