    This is a very good review.... Blade shifts after you adjust it and re-attach, thickness of blade is inferior to andis t-outliner blade but still hits, original plastic housing for screws used to crack before they upgraded to steel..... ALL FACTS!!! Thanks homeboy👍🏼

    the way i see it, im not a barber so im not an expert, the Wahls detailer cordless are like the Bentley, to the other trimmers that everyone is raving about, those trimmers are the Ferraris , Lamborghinis but the detailer is a Bentley . its very very solid, i use it for my personal use, but in the uk the t outliners and the Wahl cordless detailers are everywhere, most barbers use those

    How is the longevity on this product? I had a wahl cordless retro, which i loved, but after a few months it just stopped working after minimum personal use. Wouldn't charge and couldn't stay on for more than 10 seconds
    Left me weary about cordless wahl products.
    Any feedback over 6 months? Over a year? Etc

    • @theFaramarz
      @theFaramarz 2 года назад +2

      I'm weary of all things cordless, too.
      Been going back and forth between this and its corded version for a while now, and still can't decide which one to get. Longevity is extremely important to me.
      I'm not going to zero-gap it, either. Hoping it'd be ok out of the box.
      Intended use is shave my face and bald head. Heard Detailers don't cut your skin like the other trimmers, and that's good, if true, since I've got a sensitive skin.
      Would appreciate to hear your opinion if you've got any experience with them.
      Take care!

      @@theFaramarz i ended up rolling with the andis slimline pro and the bevel (to be clear, I had the slimline when i made my post you responded to, i just wanted something more powerful to follow up it up with)
      As a black man with super thick hair, im pleased. Slimline isnt all that powerful, but you can get crisp enough with a zero gap, and finish with a zero gaped bevel if you more on some professional barber type stuff .
      The slimline has lasted me well over 2 years with no issues and still holds charges. Bevel has lasted me about a year. I love its ease of use...it doesnt run hot. u just snap the blade right off and on if you wanna switch it out and u zero gap with a roller knob on the inside of the blade.. they sell batteries for 30 bucks and blades for 30 bucks so u can keep it going. U can also cut with it plugged in, but i never had the battery run out on me...I charge once a month
      The retail on Bevel is high , but i managed to get mine brand new on ebay for 130..... I'd say its worth the price if you invested. I travel alot internationally so im all wireless equipment... what i mentioned is a great 1-2 wireless combo for lookin handling business.
      Just leaving it at batteries and longevity, I'd strongly recommend the two clippers i mentioned

    • @theFaramarz
      @theFaramarz 2 года назад

      @@gravydale Hi, and thank you for sharing your experience and method with me, brother.
      I'm from Iran and prices for all these trimmers are considerably higher compared to the U.S. I just searched for the Bevel and, in Iran, one of the few good retailers is selling it for $244. On Amazon the best price is $200. Due to sanctions there is no international shipping to Iran either. Andis Slimline Pro is also selling for around $117 in Iran. There are two versions for Wahl Cordless Detailer here - the American version and the European version. The best price that I could find for the former is $150, and $126 for the latter. Its corded version (European) also usually goes for $99. All considerably more expensive compared to their respective prices from American retailers.
      Bevel, despite its steep $244 price, seems interesting. Its detachable blade reminds me of my Philips QC5570 clipper which recently broke down and, thus, has caused the haunt for a better replacement. Its heading could rotate to 180 degree which was great for balding one's own head. I got it for $100 6.5 years ago. But, its battery died within 3 years of use, so I had to keep using it for the reminder of its life in corded mode.
      Although, that Bevel is looking truly beautiful - Congrats on it, brother, but paying for two trimmers, one of which truly expensive, is out of question for me.
      I'm looking for an all-rounder, strong trimmer which I could use for both shaving my head and trimming and shaving my beard. My head is bald and the little hair that it has is thin. So, I know that no trimmer of any value should be worried with the little, thin hair on my bald head.
      Also, I was thinking getting a brand/model that I could find some accessories later for it, if needed. And, it seems that Wahl with its T-Wide Blade gets the point for this. I found two retailers here that sell these blades for about $30. One sells the Babyliss Skeleton's Graphite Blade for around $85.
      Therefore, I think, considering the strength of the rotary motor in the Wahl Detailer series (5000rpm on the corded, 6800rpm on the cordless), it checks the box for being capable enough of a trimmer to cover both my beard and the little, thin hair on my head. Its T-Wide Blade is available in Iran which is another strong point as well. The price that the Cordless Detailer is currently going for is disgestable, too, compared to its direct competitors like the Babyliss Skeleton.
      I just can't decide whether I should get the corded or cordless model of Detailer, longevity- and power-wise. The motor on the cordless, on paper, seems to be stronger by 1800rpm. But, it has a battery of which I'm weary. And, if I should get its cordless, I don't know whether I should get its European model for $126 or its American for $150? I really don't know if one is better than the other.
      Prices also fluctuate extremely here on a constant basis which creates its own set of anxiety. No telling if prices are the same tomorrow. If not, they're not going to be cheaper at all. Haha! So, I should move fast. And, my unfortunate, innate desire for precision in my decisions always makes me unable to make a quick decision when it's needed.
      Thanks for keeping up with reading this particularly long comment of mine, brother. Now that you know my situation better, I still value to hear your opinion on it.

    • @theFaramarz
      @theFaramarz 2 года назад

      @@gravydale Just received some interesting news from Wahl:
      I'd asked them: If the battery dies after few years of use, and I don't have access to a replacement battery for any reason whatsoever, can I continue operating the Detailer in the corded mode like a true corded Detailer?
      They've answered: "Please be advised if a battery within any unit were to stop working, no power cord would make the battery work. The battery would need to be replaced altogether."

    • @gravydale
      @gravydale 2 года назад

      @@theFaramarz well, i shave my head with a saftey razor. Based off your explanation, id recommend corded. I've never had a corded liner battrry die on me. I've had them for years and years AND YEARS in all cases.
      My personal experience with a corded liner is limited to Andis. Very powerful...can bald a head , but can also detail it and a beard. As far as accessories, they aren't many available aside from blade replacements (which are simple)
      Now, I'm not familiar with Iranian power outlet formats or the power plug format of the clippers you're searching. So that's something to pay close attention to because if you power your corded clippers through a converter , they will power, but they may not be functional. This is something I've experienced myself, which is why I've grown committed to wireless clippers
      Best wishes!

    I’d trade my skeletons for them too, my experience with the skeleton isn’t good at all. When I cut with them, it snags hair so much, and it doesn’t smoothly go through hair either it feels like it sticks to the skin when I try going through with them. It’s to the point where I literally can only use them to line up because I’m too scared I’m going to cut another client or something and trust me it’s not that the blade is adjusted to high because that’s not the case... disappointed af idk if mine are just messed up or what the deal is but I don’t get it.

      It's an attachment you put on a clipper/trimmer that charges them. It can be bought on tomb45.com

    I'm gonna have to go with Lamborghini, Jordan, and the Detail.
    That being said I fùčķ with Babyliss. I'm not brand specific. I have some Oster trimmers I use on kids and sensitive skin.

    Excellent video Chris thank you for the review... I was wondering could you help me out with something.. I'm not a barber and I don't cut my own hair but I do like to shave and get a close shave however I can't use razors because I bump up so I'm wondering which clippers are the best or shaving the beard and achieving a close cut on the face.. maybe these in the review?

      Try using the Gillette skinguard razor blades. They're made specifically for Ingrown hairs And they shave better than a dry shaver

    ey bossio what you mean by t outliners got that crunch?

    • @BlakeSuperior_Beats
      @BlakeSuperior_Beats 5 лет назад

      "Crunch" is typically used to describe the sound clipper and trimmer blades make when you're cutting hair and can hear the strands of hair being cut. My biggest gripe with the cordless Andis T Outliners is that you couldn't actually hear the crunch, so when you're just barely trying to tap a line to make fine adjustments you aren't sure if you got the hair or not, so you either have to keep going over it and possibly irritate the skin, push the line back too far, or pull the trimmer away and look after every tap. It bothered me so much that I only use my cordless T Outliners for balding out now.

    For outlining, nothing can out beat the Andis period. Andis just not to good for balding.

    Lebron vs Jordan... nvm that was a bad analogy. I hope you were implying that was a bad example because Jordan is far superior.

    This was low key shady video on the detailers. Probably cause there is no clip for them. Great trimmers, whal did a great job on them.

    • @Bossiocuts
      @Bossiocuts  5 лет назад +2

      You don’t think I was honest? I said I won’t use them as much because there’s no powerclip right now and I was up front about the fact I never liked the blade but it’s an awesome powerful trimmer that is as close to the corded version as can get and wahl fans would love them
