Chicago asking for a bigger package for Robert Jr than Soto is actually insanity, he hasn’t even had 1/3rd the career of Soto and he’s OLDER THAN SOTO IS RIGHT THIS MOMENT 😂😂😂😂😂

I mean, it’s because he’s under team control for a while and Soto is a free agent. That’s how it works unfortunately

Castellanos bat shattered. Into a billion pieces. Don’t put that on him because if it happened to Bryce or Bohm or whoever, you would say “Whelp, nothing he coulda done there. He’s so great.”

A legitimate closer. They can't be putting the ball in the hands of a player who can't throw strikes in the 9th with a 1 run lead. 2 walks and a hit batter, good job there.

Soto needs to be released. Whenever he comes in you know he’s going to blow it.

I think we should give him the Alvarado treatment. Send him down and get him right. Still has an option remaining and I don’t think he has enough service time to override the option.

@@SirPhilly That also worked with Brett Myers way back in 2008. Brett Myers sucked until he accepted to go down to AAA to fix his pitching and mechanics. When he finally came back, he was NASTY!!!! And helped the Phillies win the World Series. Sometimes players need to learn to swallow their pride.

Greg Soto is in his 6th year of mlb service. He has to go through waivers to go to the minors, which means somebody can pick him up. They could try it, but he’ll probably get picked up.

also the thing with the bullpen is that they CANNOT inherit runners. Almost every single one of them will give up a run if they don’t come into a clean inning

@lockedonballl I've seen kerk and hoffman strand multiple runners multiple times this year, many times over all. They All have a ERA of 1 something!!! For crying out loud. They are absolutely dependable. Hoffman is more filthy than strahm too n strahm is pretty fkn awesome

Jack Fritz is saying we don't need a big move to mess up the chemistry & he's right. In 2008 they went out and got Blanton & Matt Stairs. All we need is a back end bullpen arm maybe Kenley Jansen. Then a bat that can fit right in with the chemistry , no need to get a big bat.

I like the idea of Tucker from Houston, IF we can get HOU to agree to it (big IF). Will cost prospects but we have to be in win now mode as some of our core guys are older and we’ve been in late season playoff runs the last 2 yrs. so need to capitalize this yr.

while having robert seems insane and rly cool. I don’t think or want Dave to do it. Your going to be selling A LOT for a guy who had one of the worst strikeout to walk ratios last year in his FIRST season that he played over 100 games. He’s too much of what we’re trying to get away from with the lineup. He a faster kyle schwarber.
