My husband is a survivalist and he owns this same tent along with a bigger tent by this same company but he says this is the best tent at a budget he knows how to waterproof them plus in this tent he can fit a cot a couple of totes a recurve bow his backpack plus he can fit his German Shepherd I don't know how the heck he dose it but he knows what he is doing for sure he also teaches a survival class
@@DawnAdventures5678 oh he is amazing he went from a broken man who lost his daughter because of his first marriage with a drinking problem to a survivalist and Instructor he has come a long way he wanted me to help him out of homelessness originally and me and him feel in love and now we are married and now trying to get kids its crazy how the one you least expect will become the love you have looked for all along
Went camping with a few friends back in June and took this tent with me. When setting it up, I hooked the tent to the poles before placing them in the corner pieces. I couldn’t get one corner to stay long enough for me to get the other one in and ended up having to ask a friend to help hold it for me. This was disappointing as I want to do some solo camping and not being able to set the tent up by myself would be problematic for that, as you can probably imagine. I never thought to place the poles in the corners BEFORE attaching the tent pieces. I’ll definitely have to try that out and see if I can manage it on my own that way. Thanks for giving me the idea! I *had* read the instructions to the best of my abilities, but apparently I didn’t understand them well enough if that’s the way they say to do it haha.
I very much wanted to know if this one was decent AND if it would fit the queen mattress. Also +1 on including the dog, he looks like a very good boy :)
👍 $29 .. who is complaining? Perhaps not an 'expedition' tent but, if it does not leak under moderate conditions, a worthy entry-level consideration for newbies at Municipal Camp Sites, Car / Truck Camping and .. if all else fails, keeping the kids occupied in the back yard. Far enough away for some peace and quiet 😏 but close enough for peace of mind 😊. More important .. the Pooch approves 😁. Thanks for sharing .. take care ..
Very nice and effervescent review. This is likely the best $25 to $30 tent on the market...at least in stores. Goes on sale every Fall as ot is mainly a summer tent. Super easy to carry and put up. Only 8lbs so great in a car...bit hefty for hikers, but they won't buy Ozark Trail anyway. It really is a 3 person tent if you have a tarp for your gear...however with tote bags or backpacks 2 adults and maybe a kid. If you're very tall and you sleep diagonal...it works great. It is very water resistant new. That will wear after 2 or 3 years. The removable pocket can be put in the ceiling as you did...or hung on the back wall. It is intended to hold a tablet or iPad for showing movies...but can store anything else. The welcome mat flap can be flipped over the door when it is rolled down, so the door doesn't get muddy or damaged. Flipped out as you have it, makes it much nicer to stand up from your knee as you crawl out. It is an ideal 1st tent. Based on a Coleman design around for decades...but with somd improvements.
I often wondered if a manufactures statement of a 3 or 4 person tent was accurate. That one looks like a good 2 person and a dog one😎 I was surprised that mattress fit it there.
Usually with the tent person count, is 4 fits 3 and 3 fits 2 comfortably..and just a heads up sometimes when things are touching the sides of the tent and it rains, that will cause water to leak in. =) Happy Tenting
I have the 4 persons version of this tent and I was able to fit a king air mattress inside, it was a tight fit but very comfortable for 2 adults and a 5 years old girl, the tent is a bit cold due to the short rainfly but for 39 bucks I can’t complain just wonder if it can’t stand high winds and not leaking when raining.
The green rain fly only uses the short 3 ft hoop. Erect the tent. Stake it out. Put the fly over the top. Word "Front" is printed on the front. Slide the 3ft hoop through the black sleeve under the front of the fly. Put that hoop in the two main tent clips that have holes. It just holds the rain cover out 6" over the door....makes it dryer.
For $29, that’s a steal. Would be great if it had another window, but I usually spend my time outside when Im camping, so not a big deal, really. Nice pick! When are you going camping next? Isn’t it time to hit the road for an adventure?
Yep, just went last weekend for a few days even though it was raining as I started. The rain has literally put a damper on things around here. Rained all this weekend too. 🤦🏽♀️
@@DawnAdventures5678 uugh. Rain not good on a camping trip. Farther east, where I live, we'd love to get some rain. I can't figure out why we've had no real rain to speak of, but humidity feels like it's hovering at 150%. Phooey! Here's hoping you have less rain and we have more, in perfect balance.
I have an older version of that tent and have used it on many camping trips. I'm shopping around for a new one now, for longer trips with a partner. I love your shirt.
Normally I always figure tents one less person then they listed it as. And one person tents are just to small for a person and any gear. Hope you enjoy your tent.
Yep, that’s how I normally figure them out as well. Tent number-minus a person. It’s fun to see how many will really work though and this one was larger than I thought. Happy Camping!
Bought this tent based on your video. Tried it out in good weather and rainy weather. Very happy with it. Thanks!
YAY!!! I’m so glad to hear it! Happy camping!

You’re like me with rain 🌧 😀

Great! Have fun!!
Thanks for showing us all about this tent....you are a gem! I enjoy and am inspired by your adventures......

Yep, that’s usually the way I use the tent count, I subtract a person. But if you want to really get three in, you can.
Hi! How do you think will it fit a king size air mattress?
Great video and review of this tent. Love it
Thanks so much!!

you needed to show the step where the instructions ask you to clip the two bars together.
Hmmmmmm….ooops
Thank you
So is the top part suppose to have one of the poles unhooked?? It looks weird so im trying to figure if im doing it right
