Thank you for this guide! Dxwnd just refused to launch 1.01 for me until I got to 'Optimal Settings' part of the video and enabled the single core process affinity setting.
Sadly neither the archived or current version of Jetpack Downgrader seem to support the bastard child that is the German Steam version of GTA:SA. The two best options in that case seem to be the old San Andreas Downgrader (you need the whole package since it can no longer download required patches on demand), or building up from the US 1.0 retail DVD if you happen to have it. EDIT: The GTASA_12-9-14_Steam_to_V1_DG file might be useful for either version of New Steam R2.
I Think i solved the problem with DXWnd not launching the game, the issue was that my game launcher (in the game folder as shown @12:36 ) was named "gta_sa" instead of "gta_sa.exe" so i just added the ".exe" to the name of the launcher, then i went back to DXWnd> rigth clicked on the launcher> modify> updated both the path & launch routes> clicked ok> tryed to launch> It worked!> :o
hey!! when i open my gta to play normally graphics look fine but when i open dxwnd they look very low and like... a green color? how can i fix this bc i already tried setting the same resolution in dxwnd and in the settings of the game but it didnt work
I dont know why, but my autosplitter is not working. It was working and at one time it just stopped to work and now i saw your video , made everything right and still my autosplitter is not working. It starts when i start the game but it doesnt work when i pass a mission. Can somebody help
I'm using an xbox one controller but I can only use it with the OG exe (Steam version) I try binding controls, but it won't read the trigger inputs so I've got next/prev weapon unbound. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the game about 5 times at this point, it'd be easier to beat Dark Souls blindfolded. It makes me use B to select in menu instead of A, I've tried everything. Pls advise
I play keyboard so I'm not too familiar with controllers, but I know Xinput helps with many issues. However, if you ever want to properly learn the speedrun, you will need to make the switch to keyboard anyway.
Hope you are still active here, My game just crashes after the bigsmoke cutscene just before Cj has to follow the gang on the bike. This was working just fine before but I think maybe win 11 broke it or something. Can you please check or should I go back to win 10 Edit: Nvm It's working fine after a PC restart. how do I set up and bind an xbox 360 controller in order to be able to run and submit a valid run I know they have banned external programmes and I have a couple buttons that don't work, LT, RT up, down, left and right on the d pad. Have you got any ideas that could help me, also thank you for this guide it has helped me out a load you
dont know whats wrong did everything, but the game keeps crashing... not everytime on the same mission but it just crashes and i dont know how to fix it, at the low rider mission the arrows where kinda "Choppy" looking, weird aswell, any fix ?
The crashes are likely because you're playing on multiple CPU cores. I explain how to fix this at 13:49 in the video. The choppy arrows are because of your PC uptime. Restart your PC (actually restart, don't just turn it off and on again) and those will be fixed too.

I seem to be having issues with game crashing when i enter a vehicle or an interior with music. never had those issues before

I should add the B instead of A issue is happening with both 1.0 and 1.01

D3D is not working for me, it just starts the game on full screen mode, and DXwnd makes it so I cant move my cursor in game, Its so weird...

That window appears when you have more than one monitor connected.

Silenetpatch should just be allowed atp, instead of doing all these stuff in the video, just install silent patch and most of it is fixed.
Yes, it is true, but for speedrunning this is not allowed because modifies or fixes tons of other stuff.

Hey im having a problem i cant seem to fix. When im driving cars they seem to break by themselves when i turn and i cant make it stop. any idea?
