- Russians are shelling cities in the Donetsk region every day. The closer the front line is, the more people decide to leave their homes and go to another unknown for them life. Another «motivator» is the cold. The closer winter gets, the scarier it is to stay in cities without heating. The Ukrainian authorities say that the natural gas supply will not be restored yet, and there will be no heat in the Donetsk region this winter.
Donetsk residents lock the doors of their homes, take an evacuation train from Pokrovsk [city in Donetsk region] and go to a new life, not knowing if they will ever return to the old life. hromadske rode along this path with those who decided to evacuate. How do they feel? What motivates them most to leave? Where will the train take them?

Велика шана і подяка всім небайдужим, хто допомагає в евакуації. І людей розумію, які не хочуть виїзжати, нажили добро і треба кидати його, а зовсім старенькі взагалі немічні, самостійно не можуть пересуватись, боляче дивитись на це.
Велика подяка волонтерам, медикам,рятувальникам та усім,долученим до евакуації! Герої сюжету звісно дуже різні, деякі пропонують просто "перестати скубитися обом сторонам". Якось так.

I didn't know much about Ukrainians, or Ukraine, before Feb.24, but I've since learned that they are, in general, a proud, respectable, and courageous population. I admire them for sticking up for their freedom(s) and urge my country (USA) to continue to support them in whatever their needs are in order to rid themselves of Putin's tyrannical shenanigans.

You are in my thoughts day and night. The Ukrainian refugees here picked blueberries for me that I bought from them. The best blueberries I've ever eaten. The Finns have a history with the Russians. The Russians killed many fathers, brothers and sons. I myself have two army-aged sons and they both go to military refresher training. Neutrality ends with NATO and this is thanks to Putin. There won't be a Ukraine when this is over. Poland will take Galicia and Russia/LPR/DPR Milita will take the key points of the east. Ukraine is in debt with the U.S (Lend-lease) and the wealth of the country is in the hands of the Russian allied forces in the east.
Ukraine should have adhered to Minsk 1 & 2 and continued the peace talks in March 2022.

У людей є шанс почати життя спочатку. Це краще, ніж загинути від російських снарядів. Чим більше людей врятуються, тим краще для України і тим гірше для росії. Маю надію у цих людей все вийде. Певна частина краще б їхала за кордон, працювати. Хоч трохи підтримувати українську державу, і заробляти гроші та будувати своє життя.
А та бабулька, яка у всьому звинувачує владу, то це вже мабуть не вилікується

@@user-xy2gf5kb3h вы правы. Человек немного не правильно оценивает реальность. Ее везут в безопасное место, будут платить пенсию и вероятнее всего помощь как переселенцу, ее накормят, оденут, дадут жилье, а она рассказывает какая власть плохая в Украине. Это не корректно
@@user-hs8wo5cd3u вона не розуміє суті цієї війни, для неї це черговий конфлікт влади, хоча це зовсім не так... Люди того покоління, на жаль, вже не зміняться, тому мабуть треба просто дати дожити їм те що судилося, бо майбутнє не за ними, а якраз за тими хто її перевозить, захищає на фронті, волонтерить тощо.
«Скубляться між собою»? Дивне щось жінка каже… росія вдерлась на нашу землю
