I really like these reviews. I very much appreciate that you talk about the experience more so than the notes.
I avoided this one for a very long time because it was so common. Every time I would go into a department store the ladies behind the counter that’s all they want to sell you. But then I got a sample in a gift set from a friend and decided to try it. I liked it, but I agree it has no intentionality or story.
Thank you for the review. I will continue to watch and recommend these
Thanks for the comment! It’s a great fragrance for people who seek utility, easily redundant for people that look for more of a fragrance experience.
I’ve been watching your other reviews and your taste and palette is pretty niche for only joining the community a few years ago:) great videos 👍🏼
@@BonitoFlakes24 yeah, I like to deep dive into stuff. I have a thirst for information 😅
Thank you for this review. I personally appreciate Dior Elixir, I consider it one of the best designer fragrances on the market, but I do not own it, which says enough.
Can't wait to hear your take on Royal Tobacco, I liked it so much I put a decent effort into writing a fairly detailed review for a small community I'm part of 😅
Royal Tobacco is almost a perfect fragrance to me. I’ll shoot a video soon enough 🙂
Elixir is a really solid mass appealing fragrance, happy to have it even though I’m past these types of scents.
I owned this fragrance too and used it very often from 2021-2023. Always wore this to first dates and one guy was all over me because of it 🤣. I always thought it was a shame that the Sauvage name was used since I feel like it would be much more respected and much more at home as a standalone fragrance. Dior Homme Parfum is still the best Dior in my opinion, but this one is actually very interesting too and slightly under-appreciated due to it being a Sauvage (I do think that the EDT is a bit obnoxious and too popular for its own good).
I completely agree on the naming. It’s a different enough product that could have had a new name and probably would have done better under new branding.
I think we all need at least one sauvage in our collection - I own a lot of fragrances but I’ll keep at least one. Not the most exciting or original line, but I’ll keep at least one.
It depends on the type of user you are. I do think Sauvage will be remembered down the road as a masterpiece (like Antaeus, Kouros and Fahrenheit).
Well either you are indeed immediately going noseblind to the ambroxan since the EDT is an ambroxan bomb or maybe if you have a newer sample they made it weaker.
I have an EDT bottle right here from (I'm not sure) maybe 5 years ago, and it is an absolute beast, not even sure if my Elixir lasts longer or my EDT.
But historically the EDT is like you've heard, it projects and lasts like crazy, but ambroxan is the most prominent note.
I definitely go noseblind to ambroxan pretty quick but I’ve worn this again after filming and could smell it a lot more; I probably was saturated from the Elixir in the video. Still not my favorite but I could really smell the shower gel vibe.
All of them got reformulated. I think even Elixir got so as I just purchased 1 week ago from a reputable shop and with 10 sprays I could feel it like a normal EDT with 3 sprays. I just locked it into the drawer in dark hoping it will get fixed on its own?
Sauvage parfum and elixir the only two worth considering.
Good❤
Thank you 🙂
If evocative fragrances are your thing, you should absolutelly sample the BeauFort brand. They are basically useless in everyday life (unless you are a sort of vampire or pirate or something) but ... oh boy what a trip they are
Wow you got me curious! I’ll check them out
What is your favorite top three dense super performing fragrance for all seasons ?
Hah, for all seasons? Probably Nasomatto Nudiflorum, Amouage Enclave and Kajal Lamar. Floral, ambery and fruity beast mode fragrances that can be worn in any weather.
The EDT is a kick in the face kind of perfume. It’s very loud and synthetic smelling. I don’t like blue type of fragrances especially this one. It’s faint probably because of the way you sprayed it on this video? One spray from a full bottle atomizer is equals to 2-3 spray from a sample bottle.
The Elixir on the other hand is really good. I won’t say perfect but it’s miles ahead of designer level perfumery (not including the higher end private lines like in TF, Dior and LV of course). This should’ve been in the Dior Privee collection and not a Sauvage flanker.
Yeah maybe I didn’t spray enough in the video. I wore it again and could smell it more. The Elixir is really smooth compared to the edt.
You not picking up on ambroxan definitely explains your Accento review 😅
Sauvage has a perfumey or generic cologne smell because everything is copying its amber wood and ambroxan overdose.
@@BonitoFlakes24 true, but I’m never saying it’s a bad thing or anything, just built for a different purpose and user 🙂
@@SeldomlyOften of course, I personally hated it whenever came out. It was headache inducing but it grew in me and now I smell it basically every time I go out at night here in Dallas, Texas. What part of Italy are you in?
Seldomly Often so what is your signature fragrance now?…
I don’t really have one, I change so much and vary so much in profile that I cannot really be recognized with anything 😅
@@SeldomlyOften ah gatekeeping I see j/k 😄

How dare you review fragrances you know nothing about scents
Completely true that I don’t anything about scents. That is especially the reason I think a consumer’s point of view for consumers could be informative 👍
How dare you write comments? You know nothing about punctuation!
See? It looks like you don't have to be a professional (or even good at it, in your case) to do something you enjoy doing..
