- New Accessible Parking sign posts need to be installed. We'll dig a hole into the asphalt, sink the sign post and fill our hole with concrete. Then we'll attach the sign to the post.

That was very cool. Big strong muscular guy to help me understand what I'm trying to get. I'm having a lot of trouble locating U-channel posts. Hardware stores and even Amazon don't seem to have them.
You can buy them from any sign place that supplies signs and supplies. You can also buy online from places like Uline etc. Thanks for watching!

I would suggest a side mount post pounder and a rhino gas powered. Can do these signs without a ladder, just one person and without putting the hammer on top. When you crank down the sign, don't make it too tight, once you bend it, the sign will rust over time when it rains.

I like it but I was wondering how far deep can you drill with that core drill?
You can go pretty deep you just have to break out the concrete to the bit can keep drilling.
We could use your service in Pattaya so many signs are falling down!
I will be visiting there again next year! I wouldn't mind working there for a bit!

You should of used flex bases and they lag down into the asphalt or concrete. since curbs won't keep cars from hitting the posts. I do signs as well. Concrete the hole I pore hydraulic cement and it self levels.
I'm gonna be installing a 10 feet post but in the dirt, they say it's gotta go in 4 ½ feet into the ground. Not sure if I should just hammer it down or dig a hole put it in and cover it up and around back with dirt

So how far do you have to drill out? is it until you reach a softer material under the asphalt which allows you to hammer the post in?
In 2 cases there will either be asphalt or concrete. You just need to drill past the asphalt and the concrete so that you are able to hammer in the post. You were correct! Thanks so much for watching!

What is the bracket called that goes behind the sign? Like if I need help at Home Depot looking for it what would I ask for?
Awesome v8deo how long is the pole? How dp you know theres no pipes or gas lines under there?
You always have to make sure there are not Utilities under. In Ontario here we call a service to check. I already knew there was no utilities under this area. Posts are normally 10-12' in height all depending on the size of the sign your installation.

Like lets say you were installing a sign in grass area for 5 visitors parking spots how much would it cost per 12x18 sign mounted on post and installed?

Always check city code on heights of signs. Some areas they want the sign bottom to be high in the air due to people walking into them with their heads.

What kind of bit are you using on the end of the drill?
Depending on the posts you can get a 4" or 6" diamond bit is normally what I use.
Get sacked in the UK if you left a sign that bent, could see it was going to happen the second you put that second bolt in 😂

Avec un telespar et la base (de 4 pieds que tu plante à 3' et 3/4") qui va avec, tu prends ton marteau bosch, avec l'embout pour planter... ça perce DIRECT au travers l'asphalte. Ensuite, tu prends ton telespar de 10 pieds... tu mets ton emseigne et c'est fini.
Pas de béton, d'escabeau et tu sauves du temps!

Mais, sinon, pourquoi ne pas avoir utiliser un embout plus cours (comme base pour ton autre poteau)?
Tu aurais même pus utiliser un marteau piqueur avec le bon embout pour planter sans effort (avec ta génératrice) sans avoir à monter dans l'escabeau (safety firsf) et prendre la masse pour planter (sinon il y a aussi des plante-tuteurs que tu aurais pus utilise. Je travaille pour la ville de Montréal, et nous plantons différents types de poteaux et, pas besoin de pré-percer, on plante carrément dans l'asphalte.
