I started out in textile work from bail press operator then supply room then loom fixer, weaving machine installation and repair them and then weaving department manager in south Carolina , textile work feed a lot of families and paid for college and was good work until NAFTA and after that it almost all went away here in the USA.
Sad Cone Mills White Oak Plant is gone forever. Every time I ride 16th st it break my heart. I worked there from 1999-2008. Lot of great memories there. It’s cool to reminisce and look bad in time. Cone Mills paved the way for a lot of people.
