well if you consider that an average NY State realtor gets around 3%, on a 25million Dollar home thats 750k.Of course the company Erik works for gets a cut of around the half, and the co agent probably also gets a cut, but that "doubeling" can for sure amount to various thens of thousands of dollars. This house isn't my taste really, but I appreciate the owners dedication to building an eco friendly home. I think all new homes should be built with the environment in mind and reno's or upgrades take the environment into consideration. Good vid. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry, but if this owner had seriously considered the environment he wouldn't have built a 16,000 sqft home in the first place, but a more modest home of reasonable proportions. With all the money this owner clearly has he could have done more. If you said the whole house was powered from renewables I would have been impressed.

@@A_Planner_and_a_Dreamer The amount of power and resources to build a structure of that size is probably more than you could possibly imagine - that house would have to be standing for thousands of years, assuming no repairs whatsoever, for it to even be CLOSE to repaying the energy for what it cost to build.

I haven’t really seen many open concept homes this big and this beautiful. A lot of people still like the “minimal/ yet bougoise look” It can be so hard to style and maintain a concept like this. I absolutely love it though. It is such a dream!

I don't really think you can call a house like this eco friendly when you consider the energy and materials that went into building such an excessively large home: 16,000 sqft is the equivalent of 16 three bed homes where I live! However, it is refreshing to finally see solar panels and ground source heat pumps; when you have 4 acres why would you not take advantage? I think people of wealth and those with large homes that take a larger share of the worlds finite resources (than most) have a moral responsibility to at least make their homes carbon neutral. Ground source heat pumps instead of burning oil or gas, solar panels and battery storage and electricity supplied from 100% renewables. An electric car instead of that large gas guzzler.
That is a stunning property and Shawn is an excellent salesman! He must have a great life. I love this house, amenities, custom equipment and art, really eco friendly. Wonderful. Now I'll start making that $25 million.
This house is so cool. I like these red things in house. The most part of house has white and black shades, but red pillows, chairs and red leather couches make the interior of the house more interesting and original. Also, I like how a wooden and metallic parts outside of the house look. And golf course in own house is comfortable, I guess guests would be happy to relax at this place.
