    Starblade is a 3D space-based rail shooter arcade game that was released by Namco in 1991. It was notable for its early use of real-time 3D graphics, produced using the Namco System 21 "Polygonizer" arcade system board, and it is believed to have had a strong influence on the 1993 Nintendo game Star Fox. It was later ported to the Sega CD and 3DO in 1994.

      Is the background really polygons rendered in real time? Or is it just a FMV?

    I had this as a pack in game when i boight my 3do, good game, 3do was an underrated machine, Star Blade, Total Eclipse and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo were awsome games, i miss these days when consoles had a bit of individuality about them.

      I feel you I wonder could games be made today for the 3DO that change the retro land scape in today's retro gaming

      @@DonnieBling-bd4ym yes, there are games still being made and ported for 3DO by the homebrew community.
      There are indies out there producing their own 3D engines and everything.

      This system was ahead of it's time. Panasonic just priced it too high when it first came out

      I saw this game in the arcades as a kid back in the early '90s, but could never afford to play it. I was so happy when I unlocked it on T5.

    Do you only have one life the whole game?

    • @nascar241993
      @nascar241993 6 лет назад +3

      Yes. Like most 90's rail shooters, you only had one life. Once you "die", you can insert more credits and continue from the point of death.
