THIS is the best reaction to this MV I've seen all week. One funny thing is that I don't understand most of professional talks especially Anna's but I listened to them very seriously like I am a part of talk. :D
As soon as I saw the dancing I thought "oh Peyton's gonna love this" And then I heard the vocals and thought "oh Anna's gonna love this" I'm not super well versed in Super Junior (another older group that I just haven't yet taken the time to fully explore) but I'm always blown away at how distinct every single song I hear by them is. This is going to be one of the best tracks on this album~ I was already blown away by just the dramatic aspect of the choreography, and how it gave off an interpretive dance feel :) It doesn't matter what style they do, Super Junior always masters these new song and dance trends~ One last thing, HEECHUL IS FINALLY PROMOTING WITH THEM
I must say that you 2 ladies actually had the most indepth and knowledgeable reaction to this performance. Peyton giving the background on the Renaissance and how the video/performance concept and and lyrics ties into the period is wonderful. I've watched other dancers react and they didn't notice what you did. They liked the performance concept, but they didn't realize the significance of the play on light and shadow. And Anna, you've also noted stuff on the instrumentation and the chorale singing so it's really great when all the elements are a seen and heard and appreciated. I've been an ELF from the very beginning. They were my first Kpop group and still remain one of my favorites and as they've grown as artists, they have refined and reinvented their sound through 15 years and they just keep getting better and better. I can't wait to see what the following years will show us.
Interestingly, one of the producer of this song mentioned that for Siwon's part (the one anna said sounded like dance of the sugar plum fairy), he was inspired by Carmen's Habanera. I guess that explains the subtle shift to 2/4 time signature. Also as a ballet dancer I relate so muchhh to peyton, this feels like it's made for us ballet/contemporary dancer ELFs :')

This is THE best reaction I watched for "Burn the Floor" (it's a tie for JOONYO Music, since he IS one of the producers of this song)! When you talked about it being so intertwined with the Renaissance art, I immediately thought of the biggest artists of that time like Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, Sandro Boticcelli and Titian and I WAS BLOWN AWAY! Why did I miss that detail?! You are so correct, the light and shadows and its effects in the art was heavily emphasized, because in this period the artists are showing the "duality" of the human nature. My gosh, to incorporate such elaborate detail in a Kpop music AND video gave me chills! Thank you for this reaction!

I'd say older 2nd gen veterans, especially from SM Entertainment, don't feel afraid to take risks, because they've done this for so long. Plus, they know how to adapt to new styles that allow their songs to sound relevant and modern every year. Every time I listen to a Super Junior album, it never sounds the same as the last one, and the one before that, etc. They are masters of their craft, in terms of dance, in terms of vocals, in terms of styles, in terms of stage presence, everything. I feel like they perform with some of the most energy I've seen in my life, and if you go to a Super Show or anywhere they perform live, you know what I mean.

Pretty Good Song, I don’t understand or appreciate music and dance as much as I do illustration or movies. But hearing people who are passionate and knowledgeable about stuff is awesome. This isn’t the title track but Suju said that this was supposed to be the tt but they keep changing the it because all songs are good. Given how good Burn the Floor is I have such a high expectation for the title track. And I read somewhere that Ryeowook might be the one who sang the Lalalalalala part because he hinted at it during the recent radio show with Leeteuk and Shindong. Not sure tho. I just watched this dance performance myself, and when I saw your reaction recommended to me, I was like "YO, they're gonna go NUTS for this" and I was not disappointed. I'd say older 2nd gen veterans, especially from SM Entertainment, don't feel afraid to take risks, because they've done this for so long. Plus, they know how to adapt to new styles that allow their songs to sound relevant and modern every year. Every time I listen to a Super Junior album, it never sounds the same as the last one, and the one before that, etc. They are masters of their craft, in terms of dance, in terms of vocals, in terms of styles, in terms of stage presence, everything. I feel like they perform with some of the most energy I've seen in my life, and if you go to a Super Show or anywhere they perform live, you know what I mean.

Pretty Good Song, I don’t understand or appreciate music and dance as much as I do illustration or movies. But hearing people who are passionate and knowledgeable about stuff is awesome. I thought Suju would just have fun with the album and release stuff that their fans would like but not anything mind blowing but I was taken aback by this.

This isn’t the title track but Suju said that this was supposed to be the tt but they keep changing the it because all songs are good. Given how good Burn the Floor is I have such a high expectation for the title track. And I read somewhere that Ryeowook might be the one who sang the Lalalalalala part because he hinted at it during the recent radio show with Leeteuk and Shindong. Not sure tho. He might just be humming that part cause it’s so catchy haha anyways thank you for this reaction video it was peeeerfect.

I just watched this dance performance myself, and when I saw your reaction recommended to me, I was like "YO, they're gonna go NUTS for this" and I was not disappointed.
