If they shop around and look at the older apartments they just might save a ton of money, then they can put all the money they saved into a savings account and after two years they will have a large down payment fora home. That's what I did. Lived in apartments on University Blvd for 3 years and then after two years I had a nice down payment on a brand new car. Then two years later I had another large down payment on a house. A 3 bedroom two bath with a 2 car garage and was only paying 244.47 every month. More money down, less house note payments. And after 18 years of working a lot of overtime my house was paid for. Now I'm glad it is.SSDI don't pay much.
so how much is her significant other paying for the rent.. It's roughly a little over $250 a week per person which is not bad. Most people are either cutting back, working over 40+ hours a week, working weekends. There are a lot of less expensive apartments/trailer parks in the city. 2 people 2 incomes 2 bad
Trailer parks are selling property out from under people with little notice. Some of the residents have a loan on their mobile home did they can't repay and they can't move their mobile home because there's no where to go. The mobilehome may be too old to legally have it towed down the city/state roads. One needs to research these living challenges before suggesting a mobilehome as an option. Don't like rent hikes? Remember all the people who wouldn't go back to work? Remember wages going up and sign up bonuses at places like Subway because they were desperate to get help? Well there is a ripple effect. Everything costs more and businesses pass those costs on. Property values are up. That means the property owner will have to pay more taxes. Unfortunately most Americans -and especially Democrats-- do not understand how economics work. I own rentals. If the market value is higher why wouldn't I rent at market price? Here is a hint for tenants. Unless you rent from a big company, if you are a good tenant the landlord is much less likely to increase rent on you. Don't move until your lease is up. Florida has laws in favor of those who lease .
Isn't everyone's lease usually up after 1 year? Prices will not decrease in the next year
@@KP99 what I'm saying is if you just renewed your lease and you have 5,6,8,10 months left you stay put and pay out the remaining term, some people have 2 year leases. Even if the landlord sells the property, he would have to let the new owners to except the remaining term of the renter.
News 4 is so biased, as usual. Let the landlord explain the issue! It's the costs to run a complex over the last 3 years! and who is president for the last 3 years? they don't want to look into that issue, right News 4. watch first coast news , news 4 is biased.
We need to make housing a right
You have the right to live below your means and save money and buy yourself a house and pay for all of the increased insurance and taxes and increased hourly wages to people who do repairs at your home you have the right to add roommates so yes "housing is a right" as long as you save your money and buy something.. you might have to sacrifice the town that you are living in or you might have to sacrifice your decision to have children or you might have to sacrifice your time and you might have to sacrifice some of your other wants that are different than needs
talk to your man biden..
I know for a fact that there are much cheaper apartments. But people want the finer things in life. They want newer apartments, with washers and dryers plus a nice views.
$244 MO? The place must have cost under $30,00 at 3% interest. Even depending on your location that would be crazy modest in size or condition.
So happy for you. Congratulations
Roomates is the way to go, like in 3rd world countries;10 folks in one home.
so how much is her significant other paying for the rent.. It's roughly a little over $250 a week per person which is not bad. There are 2 people with 2 incomes in that apartment. a Job at $10 an hour each at 40 hours x 2 is 800 a week. They would not have rented her and her so the apartment if they could not afford it. Most people are either cutting back, working over 40+ hours a week, working weekends. There are a lot of less expensive apartments/trailer parks in the city. 2 people 2 incomes 2 bad
Thank you for saying that. It’s true
Kudos to the person who suggested brutally getting rid of stuff. While that is harsh the reduction of stuff=reduction of stress..better for your health.
Does it have to be a fancy place? 2 bedroom apartment? storage and pet? size down and move into a more modest place or stop whining and pay up.... It's their policy, pricing and you can always say NO and walk away.... Entitled much?!
SOUTH FLORIDA SPECIALLY PALM BEACH COUNTY IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE RENT IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW!!! 3/2 starting at $3,000 and that’s being nice. Prices can go up to $10,000+ closer to downtown
why do you all think landlords should give you low rents and lose money? Try being a landlord... see what it really costs.. and dealing with tenants .. it's hell. That's why the government stopped building housing. you tenants want free everything.. half of you stop paying rent and destroy the apartment! that's a fact folks. Go look at an apartment, NEWS 4, after a tenant leaves!
What would Timmy Mc'Lovin do if he was here today, he'd make a plan and follow through, that's what Timmy Mc'Lovin would do. ............GRIM
And I can tell you this, tenants are always fun either. In my last house we literally removed over a ton of items left and I had to replace doors and light fixtures and flooring and they didn't pay rent for the last two months they were in the home.
RUclips didn't like my comment about Democrats. Well flooding the economy with free money caused inflation. That is a fact.
Well wasn't landlords eligible for PPP loans and so much more
@Rich Casino Target pays $24 an hour
@@elainewilliams362 nope small time landlords didn't get extra covid 19.. they got screwed over because their tenants got the money and they often had to live in their car outside of their own rental property because the tenants were not paying rent
Robert Wood PA........True, But Also remember so MANY that WORKED throughout the Pandemic, or RETIRED and PAID their Rent EVERY SINGLE MONTH , NEVER missing a RENT payment!....

Boils down too you have absolutely 💯 no rights. Secondly they might as well make rent all over united States to 70,000 a month. If you want options to buy buying it for 856,000.00
I’m a landlord raising rents 30-60%. Simple supply & demand. It’s just business.
Where abouts do you live? I'm also a landlord and would never dream of doing that. I'm in Northern Ireland.
@@kerryquinn6218 In the US. I own multiple properties in several states. All my rents are in line with market prices.
Supply and demand, property taxes going up, handy man’s cost going up, cost of maintenance going up, it’s called inflation, landlords cost go up they get passed on to the consumer as demand falls and supply rise rents will go down those are the laws of supply and demand. People have a victim hood mentality all you really need to not be the victim is education. Helps in making better decisions and prepare for things by having foresight people been talking about inflation since 2020 more then enough time to prepare and make adjustments take advantage of opportunities which there were many people live in the matrix not knowing there are forces that they are unaware but impact there life drastically the fed increased the supply of money, money given to people that were spent on a limited amount of goods, services and assets. Causing prices to go up all around people want stimmy checks and free stuff not knowing the most expensive type of money is free money.

Aman! I knew, something was going to come back, and bite us in the butt, when we got the stimulus checks, but never this. When greed is at the forefront, it's hard to distinguish, what's fair market, and what's JUST fair.

Why don’t people start looking for homeowners who have bedrooms for rent .?
You would be living with a homeowner but at least it would be cheaper than renting an entire apartment.
