The guys are all enacting their worst fears in this video which is a pretty rad concept, I think. Both Jim and Corey seem to be afraid of exploding.

As always the personal interpretation is very subjective. You can call it either disgusting ("not funny") or just artistic freedom and enjoy 🤘

Chris is afraid of birds. Corey has what Clown calls “LSD: Lead Singers Disease” his head gets so big, it explodes. Etc. Theyre killing their old selves, with their worst fears.

Great video Charis! For your next deep dive, I would recommend Sabaton. They are a Swedish power metal band that writes a lot of songs about historical wars/battles. For example, their last two albums have been about events in World War 1

they're very theatrical especially in their three latest albums (Every trick in the Book, Silver Scream, Silver Scream 2; Welcome to Horrorwood). If you know any horror movies or dark stories, they probably did a song about them.
Would recommend Enter Shikari, the pioneers of electronic metal but have since said that they don't want to classed as metal. They recently released a song called The Void Stares Back which features Wargasm and Rou is one of the most intelligent writers in music I can think of. Every song has a deep meaning to it.
I recommend You ,,Gently" live version from 2002 in London. Very underrated song :)
Great video as always! For the next deep dive I'd suggest you listen to Powerwolf to explore a different sub-type of the metal genre, since they are more heavy/power metal. And keep up the good work!

I believe I saw a comment saying that every member in the video died in a way that was acting out their worst fear/facet of themselves so here is what they were in case you’re curious, in order of appearance. (Note: All this info comes from the BTS video where they explain each death but they don’t go over every one of them so for those I’ll put “unconfirmed” and put my best assumption.)
Sid: Afraid of losing his hands/fingers because that’s what he needs to be efficient at his job as a DJ.
Mick: A reserved a man who often keeps away from others is scratching away at his “surface” to reveal another layer of himself.
Jay/Alex: Two new members of Slipknot after the passing of Paul and departure of Joey are seen in wheel chairs and getting stabbed by all the other members as a sort of initiation into Slipknot.
Corey: Most lead singers are seen as the most popular of the group and with that get a large ego or “blown up/big head” here we see Corey literally blowing up his head and along with that his big ego. Also we specifically see him blowing up his All Hope Is Gone mask, which is the mask from the previous album as to say he’s killing his old self and staring anew.
Craig: Mauled by a dog because he Is afraid of them (unconfirmed)
Chris: Pecked to death by crows because he is afraid of them. Fun fact that was actually Chris in there and he was very scared to do the shoot but had to stay still for it and managed to get it done.
Jim: Also unconfirmed but I assume it’s similar to Corey since he is the lead guitarist and those are also seen as very popular in the group.
Shawn: Goes out in the most insane way possible he could find fitting for “The Clown”, lighting yourself on fire and then hanging yourself.

That drummer is Jay Weinberg. He replaced Slipknot's original drummer, Joey Jordison. Joey died back in 2021 from an illness. Jay's father, Max Weinberg is the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band. Jay stepped in for father to play drums for Bruce back in 2009.

The idea of the video was, saying goodbye to your past self. The death scences were the memebers saying goodbye to their past-sleves and birthing a new version of themselves.
In this music video the "old Slipknot" is dying and a "new Slipknot" is arriving. They are dying with their old masks and playing with their new ones.
You said "more moisture" when you blow yourself up. Actually...the TNT would vaporize the majority of blood, being that close to the body. Thus most soldiers claiming little blood from a suicide bomber. Love the outtakes....

You should react too his other band Stone Sour either the song Through Glass or Bother other good songs were he really sings are Tired , Miricals, Hesitate, Made Of Scars , just to name a few it's his side project band so he does Slipknot and Stone Sour but in Stone Sour he doesn't wear a mask nor does he scream Stone Sour is a lot deeper and more meaningful but I highly recommend you checking them out if your a fan of Slipknot.

I've been an enthusiast from the same era and a mechanic that got the fever from the old man. He is an awesome mechanic that taught me a lot about cars and more importantly, about life, in general. My Dream Car is either of the 1st gen Camaros, 67 or 68. Any model, trim level, equipment package.... whatever. Dad's Dream Car was willed into existence about 15 years ago and he's won shows he didn't even enter.
His chariot is an Inca Gold 57 T-Bird to die for.
But he is in his 80s and the 'shine is off' the apple. It's becoming difficult and extremely expensive to keep it not only running, but getting in and out is tricky and challenging for a young, healthy gear head. And he is neither young nor healthy.
But I ramble... nice car.👍🚗

Hi, Charis. If you're wanting to go deeper and heavier, then Lorna Shore is the way to go. Start with 'To the Hellfire', then 'Sun//Eater'. There aren't any 'Clean' vocals, but there is a really wide range to the vocals.
In this video the band shows things that are their worst fears. Sid eating his hand signifies that if he lost his hands he could no longer DJ. Chris Fehn is absolutely petrified of birds. Corey is afraid of blending into the music industry. Jim is afraid of not mattering. Mick doesn’t want his identity to be revealed. ZMan and Jay Weinberg are earning their stripes by getting stabbed buy the rest of the band. Craig is deathly afraid of dog attacks. Clown just hangings himself at the end.
I think they mean that Shawn is afraid of indulging in depression and committing suicide.
