I feel that Peep was a symbol for a generation in both good and sad ways. He spoke of his struggles from addiction to loneliness and that feeling of emptiness inside usually accompanied by a palpable existential dread for our world. Simultaneously his music grasped with these topics in often straight forward ways lyrically that I would compare to artists from Nat King Cole to Kurt Cobain. I know the comparison to Kurt is often made but I do find it to be a great comparison because Kurt represented an under spoken feeling through his lyrics and message as well as the energy he channeled it through. Great artists have a way of taking complex topics and putting them simply. Gus has a charisma in his smile and a power in his voice that you cannot manufacture. He paved his own way despite his fears and achieved a lot in the short life he lived

The used , escape the fate, FFTL etc. I went to watch the video for Too bright to see too lpud to hear and all the comments were a variation of "lil peep brought me here" or "like if youre here from hellboy" . His death is one of the saddest things I have had to hear about, to this day he is still my favorite artist. His music helped so many people, it is unique and nothing can compare to it. This song turned me into a fan ive been listening to underoath since 07, I grew up listening to most of these emo bands before they blew up. The used , escape the fate, FFTL etc. I went to watch the video for Too bright to see too lpud to hear and all the comments were a variation of "lil peep brought me here" or "like if youre here from hellboy" . It peaked my curiousity checked out this song and fell in love woth his music. Dude was one of the FIRST to do it alot of these Emo rappers owe it to him.

His death is one of the saddest things I have had to hear about, to this day he is still my favorite artist. His music helped so many people, it is unique and nothing can compare to it. He was a hell of a guy, he put others first despite the issues he was going through, he was a genuine person and I think anyone who has been listening to his music and has been a longtime fan would agree, I only wish I could still have a chance to meet him.
