I purchased the same one and installing today. Thanks for the excellent demo - your set up was a great way to show all the features. Greatly appreciate your time and sharing your skills, especially the details.

I have the unit that will do 440 or 880 pounds, and it works great. This video was excellent. I mounted my remote control unit before putting it on my track on the ceiling - which is too high to have let me do the installation like Sam.
I noticed the spooling was a bit loose as it went up or down withour any weight. I attached a 4 pound diver's weight (small, lead) that was not being used anymore to the hook to keep tension on the line and help the spooling be uniform.
Great lift - easy to put together and hang, and has been working without problems. I'm not lifting anything terribly heavy but this helps me set some heavy things upright and keeps them from falling on me - such as my folding trailer when I put it up on its side to stand against the wall. I might get another one to help load and unload some heavy boxes I have on a big platform in the garage.

@bobferney9294 thanks for commenting. You found out you do require a load of some kind in winding winch in and out.

Sir, I would appreciate it very much if you showed how you organized and installed the hoist support with the rounded strut. It is a good video to show an alternative way of installing the hoist support as garages have different roofs that make it often difficult to install the hoist with the strut that comes with the hoist.

@user-hf5ln1nk4o Thanks for your interest in my demonstration of mount for the Hoist. The pipe I used was from a Satellite Dish mounting pole. I used a 2X6 board for one end support to the floor and my cabinets as the other end support. This is not an adequate way to actually use the hoist for work. The cabinets only have screws holding them to the way and not a good support for the hoist. I only was using the supports to demonstrate the Hoist and did not intend on it to be used as a way to mount the hoist. Mounting for the Hoist needs a support system that is capable of handling the loads you will be place on the supports. That is a subject that you need to investigate to find the proper support for your use. Don't use the pipe and setup I used as it does not have proper support at all.
I only lifted 40lbs or so to demonstrate the hoist. Also, hanging the hoist from the rafters without down supports to take the load will only work for light loads. Rafters are designed to support loads from the top area, not pulling down from the bottom of the rafter. As you see, you need to investigate mounting a hoist for the proper location and supports to work with the loads you will be lifting. Good luck and be safe!

Excellent demo and overview of the electric hoist I wanted to purchase. I'm making a purchase today! Great mini gantry crane there Sam. Good for the demo. I had tried another more portable electric hoist but it was such low quality I had to send it back. This one seems much stronger and better quality. As for the trolly, I did find they make a trolly in China for these electric hoist. The mounts are good but a nice trolly will be a fit for my beam gantry crane. Thank you for the video.

@our12silly I think you will like this hoist. I wished I could have a company send me a hoist trolley as the two go together so we’ll.

I bought the same system but have not yet installed it. I have to ask....that is the best the Velvor engineers can come up with to offer wireless control, a massive and heavy yellow box? Good heavens

Thanks for this video. I was thinking of getting 2 wireless hoists in my garage to lift my trailer.... does it say in the instructions anywhere that 2 or more wireless remotes can be used together? Or when you press down on one remote, all hoists in the garage will work off of the one. Thanks in advance.

@user-dy5pf6gd5i I do not know if you can use to in the same area. You can go to the VEVOR.com website and at the bottom is a contact button. They should be able to tell you for sure and help you get a unit that will work together with the one you have, without interfering. Good Luck.

I have two, and they each have their own designated remote that only controls the hoist it came with. FYI If you have the option to also get a hardwired control, you might want consider that, i have only had these units for about a month, and the wireless remote function on one of them has stopped working. The hardwired control still works.
