Same pump I got in my fish tank,Never cleans the water out,Every so often,I have to carefully empty out most of the water out of the tank and then refill it up with fresh water,Get a air pump next what cleans the water would be better really
Scoobz that looks ok mate & now your talking the filters I always had, that other filter is something betta fish prefer. I used to add a white nozzle in the top tube with blue tubing on top & then the Ventura at the top then you can take it to the level preferred. I used to buy copies for the side media's but added 8 small bio rings in the middle with brown bacteria balls & kept the middle level for good flow plus washed them 😂 It looks smart & once your plants mature it will look ace ⭐
@@peridot-20 my reply was added as a separate comment for some reason, I’ll just write it again. Makes sense with bettas preferring that filter, the U2 is definitely too strong and would push the poor guy around 😅 and thank you! Can’t wait to see what the tank looks like in a few months once the plants have grown a bit !
Hi. Your aquarium is beautiful. I too use the fluval filters. In relation to the filter sponges, there is a British company on line called Finest filters which you can buy the sponges a lot cheaper or you can remove the Little blue sponge baskets. Get Some course /fine sponges and cut them to size, much cheaper. There is a chanel called Pond Guru, he does a series called pimp my filter and he does one for the fluval range. Shows you how remove those cartridges and use the pond foams. Works out much cheaper. Thanks for video 😊
@@carolinekelly4726 Thank you! I was thinking about swapping the sponges for filter floss but I’ll check out the channel and website that you recommended first, excited to see how they pimp their filters 😁
Mate you’re a legend and I’ve just recently subbed. I can see your channel reaching great heights because you seem real down to earth and knowledgable. I’m getting a Roma 200 next week. Funnily enough I just replaced the filter in my 54 litre tank with the U2 as well. Wish I had a way to show you my tank. Anyway, hello from Scotland.
Thank you, I really appreciate it! And nice! Let me know how it goes with the Roma 200. What are you planning to stock it with? And lol what a coincidence, if you have Instagram you can send me a picture or video of your tank there. Its @ ScoobzNPetz 👍🏾
@@ScoobzNPetzI’m planning on getting a black angel and a panda angel, black skirt tetras, the rest I’m not sure. Sure thing man I’ll send you a message over there!

If you get one get a Fluval U3 for a 64L as the U3 does a 150L tank & that would work as doing your tank again, more filtration the purer your water & good water perimeters.
@@peridot-20 Yeah that’s kind of what I done, the U1 would’ve been fine for my 56 apparently but I went one size up to the U2 to get that extra filtration

Anyway, open up the purple intake at the top to let the air/bubbler work and give oxygen
