I like the depiction in the last image. More bird like, which gives a more unfeeling robotic look. Like an animal which will jus leave its foot on you while it tears away flesh, just simply allowing you to scream.
Love this dinosaur. Remembered reading about it a book from the library when I was little, still stuck with me due to its epic appearance and odd name.
And i thought i knew a lot of dinos. This man would make a great jurassic movie. Best part is that it will actually be accurate because he knows more a lot of dinos and i mean a lot…
Most likely, but also remember the jurassic park movies (i assume thats what you mean) are also about genetically engineered dinosaurs, so any modifications wouldn't be accurate
Neovenator having the ability to sense the perfect place to bite, reminded me of That 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie where Robert Downey Jr played Sherlock and One scene was him in a boxing match and he analyzed and predicted his opponents attacks and it made me think of a Neovenator analyzing and sensing the perfect place to strike on a armored herbivore.
Probably one of my favourite dinosaurs to be honest. And also your videos are awesome as soon as I got a notification of this video I immediately watched it
Its insane to imagine! Most of the largest predators today rarely get above 20 feet (save for whales and snakes). It really says something that 20-30 feet is a 'medium size'.
A predator that big having sensors to tell them where best to bite is freakin scary. Any soft spots noticed on any other animals and others of similar build these Dinos more than likely memorized. The fact they had to compete with baryonyx adds to how dangerous these Dino’s potentially were as they were basically big precise biters up against bipedal crocs, smaller spinosaurus without the spine.
Neovenator: *sips tea* "I dare say is that low class baryonyx ruffian trying to invade upon my territory, I shall give him what for you when I challenge him to a proper duel."
I’m going looking in the Wessex formation (the formation it’s fossils are found in) tomorrow. Wish me luck to find a tooth or diagnostic bone from one of these amazing predators!
Bro imagine if you completely committed to hitting the gym and became just a jacked dino guy, just imo a sick idea bratan💪🏽✨️ love yo dino vids tho, had a love for paleontology since I was a kid❤️
Actually, some scientists theorized that Neovenator was a 'transitional' species between two of the most succesful Jurassic carnosaurs, which is the allosaurids and the megalosaurids. That's way the Neovenator had some features that is represented in both allosaurs and megalosaurs.Later on,this 'transitional' theropod would evolve during the mid-late cretaceous to a group we all know as the carcharodontosaurids.
Nah megosauroidss and allosauroids divergent pretty early on in the early Jurassic. Megalosaurids transitioned into spinosaurids in the cretaceous to tackle fish better while allosauroids transitioned into bulkier carcharosobtosaurids to tackle the bulkier titanosaurs
@@starbirds2464 Neovenator is somewhere it between them. They had physical features from both allosaurids and megalosaurids, which is confusing for some paleontologist. Soon, they'll got classified into their own family called Neovenatoridae which includes dinosaurs like Deltadromeus and Chilantaisaurus. But most of the members of the Neovenatoridae were extinct during and after the Carcharodontosaurids and the Tyrannosaurids took over the domination.
@@vincemaranzano4197 neovenatorids share resemblance to megosaurids most likely due to convergent niches. It doesn't necessarily mean they're related. For example a tasmanian tiger is in no way related to a dog but share features. And it's currently most accepted that deltadromeus is a ceratosaur and not a tetanuran. And it's debated wether megaraptorids are celorosaurs or carnosaurs but a good theory is that they are decended from neovenatorids and that is why they share similar features to carcharodontosaurs yet have suchonger arms, it's because they descended from long arm carcharodontosaurs such as neovanator and siats.
Scans of the inside of Neovenator's skull shows us their upper jaws had an enormous series of neurovascular canals. These canals, combined with studies of the teeth, show us that they avoided biting bones, and eating them. One of the only ways it could do that (without picking through a carcass, very inefficient at such a large size) was these sensors. Full disclosure, however, apparently there has been a study in recent years that I am just learning of today. This study counters this, saying they may have just been the average sensors of advanced theropod dinosaurs, although more research is needed to confirm or deny either side.
Baryonyx: Iguanodon for lunch? Neovenator: How do you like your Iguanodon? Meanwhile in Africa Spinosaurus: Fish for lunch? Carcharodontosaurus: Dafuq is a fish
Interestingly, tigers have a similar detection system within their teeth so they can find the perfect area to kill their prey effectively, MID BITE TOO!!! SO THIS GUY WAS A BRITISH TIGER DINOSAUR
I have a request for you. How would like to 'review' a series on RUclips called 72 Dangerous Animals: Prehistory? I tried watching it but the moment they tried holding on to the predator Diatryma I lost interest.

Neovenator: "morning" 🍵
Baryonyx: "good day to you sir, nice day for fishing innit" 🍵
British Carnivores be like
This is what I was thinking when I heard the neovenator was from England 😂
just a bit a banter
I'd defend England since I'm British but I'm not English so haha
As British I approve this is real
Insane that 23 feet is considered mid size. That’s a massive creature. Life was crazy way back then.
Ikr what I would give to see them in person...
@kendaiwilliams9582normal people in Ohio 💀💀
@seadoggo567 worth it

Baryonyx is no longer considered to be from the Wessex Formation (the formation where Neovenator is from), so it did not compete with it for dominance
Wow how Bary oddest
Then which formation is it in
It might still have competed with riparovenator and Ceratosuchops though
There were two spinosaurs in the Wessex formation, weren't there?
@@RafuStudio yes riparovenator and ceratosuchops

23ft is mid sized for a theropod lmfao
These predators were in a league of their own
Its insane to imagine! Most of the largest predators today rarely get above 20 feet (save for whales and snakes). It really says something that 20-30 feet is a 'medium size'.
Nice to see the English haven't changed much over the years
Charcharadontonid was a vicious theropod dinosaur yet he was a proper English gentleman who wore top hats and enjoyed a spot of tea and crumpets.
I guess spinosaurs and Charcaradontosaurs are truly rivels

Hooray for our British boi! Making our nation proud!
Neovenator is a pretty cool dinosaur, and this shot was very good
That first picture gave me nostalgia as I have a book from a long time ago with that same picture.
Crazy how the atmosphere has changed so much in our world specifically size of animals and plants
Reminds me of a allosaurus, never even heard of this dinosaur before and I’ve been watching dinosaurs since I was 5
Neo: Oi mate, do you even have a loicense to hunt here?
Baryo: Well, do you?!
Yippe!, my favorite carchardontosaurid besides mapusaurus is here
Ooooo, quite interesting that is speculated this thing has the ability to be very precise! I've never heard of that until now
I love the provided art variations
Man some of these scientists are having too much fun coming up with names for these Dinosaurs.
When he's a carcharodontosaurid you better run...
Me watching this short: A neovenator?
Last image pops up: PERRY THE NEOVENATOR?!
I imagine him having some tea with his prey and a side of scones
This just goes to show that my country was a real life Jurassic Park back then.

They can smell it with their long skinny nose
T. rex:Hey neo, wanna commit another arson in spinos den?

My favourite UK carnivore
This is where all the knife crime came from!
All therapods, except for the smaller ones, look like T-Rex to me.
