    I like to tight line and don’t want the liner to transfer to my waterline. I currently have PML, VB and Chanel. All transfer to my waterline. I bought the KVD in cool brown and it transfers the least compared to the others. It’s not as creamy as the others, but I’m willing to trade that to get what I want in an eyeliner. As always, thanks for the great content!

      I have the brand new hourglass gel liner out for delivery today. I am going to experiment a little bit with those and then do a review of them. Maybe they will be better. Lovely video dear Rebecca and so much information, thanks so much!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Nice that a makeup allergy video is coming!!!! My eyes became a bit more sensitive the last year, year and half. Besides that, it depends what you want from the eyeliner the moment you use it. I mean, when it's 30 degr. Cel here which i hate in my own country because of the high humidity, i only choose the TF emoticonproof, the Chanel waterproof, some of the CT double ended ones. When i also want that removing all the stuff is not so much work and i use the makeup only for a couple of hours (lots of the times) i also love to see a softer effect that can be smudged out nice, also with some of the VB liners indeed. But also the Colour Chameleon from Charlotte which stays in place quite well! Also very satisfied about a sort of wand from Vieve (at Cult Beauty, have shade hazel) it is also not really an eyeliner but quite fool proof. And love the removal and much more and i really use soft removers, from Chantecaille and Koh Gen Do. What goes to far for me is that an eyeliner ruins my entire makuep, for instance i never buy any Sysley eyeliner ever again. But good tip, thanks Rebecca, am gonna find out if Sephora France also has KVD, i believe so! Because that summer is coming, lots of medication as well, and it's nice to choose from real fool proof stuff!!! But it's so different for everyone, skintypes, what do you find foolproof enough etc, but i can need any help!!! Great video, thanks so much, have an amazing day!!!😘😘😘😘

      What a perfect comment! And you are so correct. What lasts on one person as an eyeliner doesn’t last on another. It’s such a shame that everyone has to spend their money experimenting. I am working with the hourglass new ones today and I like them much better than these by KVD, which I find irritating. They may last longer but for me it’s not worth the discomfort.

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty yes, it's for me also about that balance, exactly! I dislike eyeliners of which i am sure that they ruin my makeup, but i want comfort too here, being 51, getting 52 in june and using lots of medication, i don't want to ruin brows, eyes, lashes etc. For instance lashes, i find Hourglass mostly a good brand, but that Caution mascara....it takes half an hour from my sleep to get that off, and than lost lashes, and my lashes are not good due to the medication, so, never again, simple, stick to brands like Chantecaille, Ilia etc, normal soft stuff here, and when the effect is not like i'm in my 20's, well i'm not in my 20's anymore. But i'm curious now about the liners from Hourglass!!! You always have great recommendations!!! Thanks and have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘

      I got to tell you, when we can save money on things like mascara and eyeliner etc. it’s a wonderful thing. Some products you cannot replace from high-end but others, and I agree with you, can be duped by Maybelline and Pixie and by brands like Rimmel. I totally go for that every day all day.

    I've always had issues with eyeliner on the waterline. However, I've found 4 that work fairly well. I keep trying more to see. What I don't like is when they don't list if it can or can't be used on the waterline. I wasn't aware that some waterproof formulas aren't tested for that area. I've had a few that made my eyes burn and feel inflamed. Thank You for your review on this one !

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 года назад +1

      Hello Carmen! I agree. Some are sneaky and are actually not meant for the water line and are almost advertised that way without being overtly advertised that way, almost purposely confusing. These definitely say for the waterline but I found them very irritating. They don’t budge too much but they are uncomfortable to use and uncomfortable to wear so I cannot wholeheartedly recommend them, I’m afraid.

I'm currently trying the Pixi Eye Define Waterline in Tightline Black it's OK but it does travel to the inner tear duct, and one from Annabelle which is a Canadian brand seeing I'm Canadian which is OK. How does it compare to Mario’s liner? Initially I loved Mario’s and it lasted but the more I use it, it is such ok. I have trouble finding liners to stay. I love the glide of VB’s liners but I agree that certain colours lasts better, for me ash lasts better than cocoa

      I definitely like the Mario liners better than these by KVD. These new ones last longer than his but they’re really not comfortable and I find them irritating. The only way I could recommend them is if someone has tried absolutely everything else and doesn’t really care about anything but making the liner stay on. The good news is that I am currently experimenting with the new hourglass liners and those are much better. Still not as good as some of the others out there but much better than these which I can’t really recommend.

    I just purchased from a brand called Kulfi. They are an indie brand. I have spent years looking for a liner that won't budge. I've tried wiping my waterline with a q-tip. I just want my eyeliner to stay in the waterline. I did order this kvd liner in trooper black so I'll see about this one too. I may seem to be pessimistic but I am still determined to find the perfect one. Maybe kulfi will be one or perhaps this one by kvd. I'll find out once I get them.

    Interesting. As it happens I bought the KVD eye base/pomade in white out and a mini vegan butter lipstick to try too…. Both are ok but I did wonder what KVD stood for and googled it. Concluded the brand just kept its identity despite the founder having moved on…. I find that a bit strange but I also find it odd that Bobbi Browns original brand is no longer hers. Loving the Jones Road though 👍.
    Out of an eye liner I would wish for: non-tugging/smooth application, good colour pigment, and longevity.
    And so excited to hear you’re planning an allergy video 👍 I think my eyes are super sensitive, and my face less so…. So I’ll definitely look out for that one 🥰👌 Helen x

      Hello there, Helen! I think that the current KVD owners kept the name to try to keep the loyal following and also assumed they could outlive the reputation of the original founder. And I think that’s probably serving them well. I’m not so sure the products are that good anymore though. This eyeliner is OK and it lasts but it’s not terribly comfortable to use and it’s fairly uncomfortable to wear. You are absolutely correct that it doesn’t seem to have hurt the namesake Bobbi brown brand. I hope she expands Jones Road as it is really gaining some strength and shaping up to be a nice little minimalist collection that honors her aesthetic more than her old Brand currently does.

Regarding kvd, as someone who is 40 and has witnessed their whole saga, I don't really care. And I doubt that their target customer who is in their 20ies or 30ies even knows who Kat is. In a few years hopefully they will be just another brand with a semi meaningful 3 letter acronym like a dozen others in Sephora, and a unique esthetic that is their own, no matter its origins.

    Unfortunately, this eyeliner did not work for me at all. I got the shade verdetta green and swatching it on my hand it's a beautiful dark green that will not budge no matter how hard I rub. On my eyes, however, it performs miserably. It look like a pale translucent grey in my waterline and no matter how much I try to build up the color it just doesn't get any darker and it doesnt look green at all. I lined my right waterline then did my left and looked in the mirror and realized it had already disappeared from my right waterline that quickly. I'm talking a matter of seconds. Every one of my drugstore liners and every other high end liner I have out performs this. I tried putting it on my lid to create a wing and it was awful. Again, it just looked like a pale grey and no matter what I did the color wouldn't build. This is definitely the worst liner I've ever used.

    None of the products are perfect but those are the ones that I find work the best & have the best wear (not perfect).
    I don't do the waterline so I can't speak to their use or wear in that area. I find it a waste of my time as none have ever stayed & they irritate my eyes then gather in the corner.
