Take my hat off to you boss. You make it look simple when it definitely isn't. Our 2001 Mondog driver's door lock is faulty. Won't work. I'm not even going to attempt surgery as I know what will happen...will end up a lifetime job and I'll tear whatever hair I don't have left out of my scalp and will end up in the ED worse off than our Mondog. The car has been an awesome buy here in New Zealand. We bought it second hand around 2005 and had around 70,000km on the odometer. Apart from a coil [replaced under extended warranty when we bought it] the car has been totally reliable. Bullet-proof drive train. However now the driver's door lock won't work at all. So we are taking the car in for a W.O.F. this Thursday and we'll get a real mechanic to diagnose the problem properly and give us a quote on the repair. Paid $16,000 for it in '05. Hasn't cost us anything of major over the years of ownership, water pump last year...just the cost of usual tires...It's got 199,000km on it now and about to click over the 200,00km mark on the odometer so will get a mobile photo of that moment...This driver's door lock mechanism thing though has real trouble written all over it...hopefully second hand parts might do the trick...
Ho Paul I changed my doors on my mk 4 mondy Edge for titanium x doors how to I get over the central locking and electric window issue on the back doors frond doors work fine many thanks
Wiring is different on Edge model for rear doors. I'm currently working on rear door wiring for central locking and elec windows and will post video soon
