But, based on everything that’s public knowledge I feel like Ari jumped out of her relationship with Mac, which was painful for her as she realized she couldn’t help him with his issues, and into Pete’s arms. Their relationship was fun and new and exciting and I think it distracted her from what she was feeling. Mac’s passing must have pushed her over the edge. It’s sad that Ariana and Pete had to go through it all in the eyes of the public but every person has a relationship like this at some point, and there is never a happy ending to it.
