    Nice video of very competent operator doing some work that is tough on machine tracks and above all the operator , driving that for 8 to 10 hrs a day will be hard work constant jolting from the rock and having to keep your self pushed back in the seat when working at that angle Much Respect

    I feel for the operator, ripping rock is very hard on both operators and machines. I hope that whoever bid the job put in plenty of cushion for the maintenance, and the eventual replacement of the unit. You can see the suspension flexing when he’s ripping the really big stuff. I would either blast or use an excavator with a rock ripper, or even a breaker on an excavator. Put the salesman and your boss in a big dozer ripping rock for 10-12 hours and I’m sure he’ll get you what you need! Be safe, brothers! 💪🙏🤙

    This guy is doing pretty well with what is for the circumstances a small machine. Using the slope and the weight of the machine to his advantage. I've watched a few of these videos from this site and this guy is getting way more done it seems than anyone else

    Considering the type of rock and terrain operator is doing a fire job! I've worked steep slope with larger and smaller dozers great job of conserving fuel at altitude and protecting the equipment to get the job done!

    That ground would be better ripped with a 70 ton excavator, keep the finer ripped material under the tracks as a cushion and to give grip. I'd say there running/repair costs will be high trying to run the 9 in it

  • @OYSMSS
    @OYSMSS 3 года назад

    I guess it's better to drill and blast that massive and hard rock formation than bulldozers and excavators which preferably are used at post-blasting stage .

    • @rossgray3070
      @rossgray3070 4 года назад

      Having been a dozer operator for 50yrs + and done some blasting in that time I don't think drill and blast would work that good in that type of materiel because of too many fault lines in the rock, plus there maybe buildings nearby by that could be the reason why they are not blasting.

    That D9r is pushing more than the Komatsu 375 in the other vid
    Way more.

    • @garlandremingtoniii1338
      @garlandremingtoniii1338 2 года назад

      Nope. It is not. You wish it was though. Anybody that knows anything about dozers knows for a fact that it is completely impossible for that D9 to push more weight than the Komatsu 375. Completely Impossible.

      Having 50 + yrs on dozers and still doing 5 1/2 days a week I would say he is doing real good considering the material and the slope he is working on, if it was my machine I would be happy for him to operate it, not like some you see here on youtube operating machines that they shouldn't be allowed to even be near let a lone operate them.
