1995 ... nobody had heard anything like this before. The RZA was blowing people’s minds with stuff that sounded like it could have been from another planet. Such an ambitious album, but so catchy at the same time. Always loved the custom car horn leading into that theremin sound at the beginning
This album deserved to be multiple platinum. The first time I heard these beats it blowed my mind.

RZA is so influential I don’t think people understand he influenced sample beats from the likes of Kanye and more. Wu -Tang from 93-99 is a what influenced all sample based producers whether or not they want to acknowledge that. Imagine Westside Gunn or Kendrick or Tyler on a similar sample. None could have passed that bar without Wu.
