Drawing my webcomic The Middle Age on an iPad Pro using Procreate

  • In this very accelerated video, you can see me drawing the first panel from the third episode of my webcomic The Middle Age.
    I'm really happy with how this panel turned out. So happy that I ended up rewriting the dialogue as to not have the word balloons cover up so much of the drawing.

    Shop talk: The drawing took about three hours and was drawn on an iPad Pro using an Apple Pencil and the Procreate app. Procreate recorded the video - which was about 30 minutes long and I compressed it in Adobe After Effects to save us all a lot of time. :)

    It would be cool if there was a timer so I could see how long this took in real time.
    I draw my comic between 6-8 hours on average, and I always feel like I am spending too much time.
