DrTurnip is definitely hitting plat minimum once the mentality changes from "oh no i died" to "IM PEEKING EVERYTHING BECAUSE I'M THE FUCKIN GOAT RAHHHHH"
I was full on expecting the NIIIICCEEE being in the intro, even lowered my volume in anticipation because I'm still in the office. Hearing that live was hilarious, thanks for the Dr. Turnip content Woohoojin
You talking about ur sticky notes is so relatable - while i dont use sticky notes i make lists in my head lol. And i also have a lot of respect for that - i had been not enjoying some of ur gameplay bc i did notice the tilt (which is a totally normal thing literally been there done that) but most people dont even consider trying to fix it :D. U hold ppl to a high standard but also include urself in that and that is so fucking based
I think DrTurnip is going through what I'm going through. She got used to doing long range gun fights and getting headshots. So much so that she relies on distance when taking gun fights. She finds close range intimidating. It makes sense cuz the farther they are, the slower they move on your perspective but the closer they are, the faster the move.
Except that this is silver, it doesn't matter because they don't know how to move properly on average. You could see DrTurnip getting kill after kill even in close range in Breeze because every single player in the enemy team played the exact same game.
this video actually helped so much bro ive been hardstuck bronze for a whole month even though i have great aim and get 12 on hardbots, problem was confidence and i never swung just but after watching your vid i started playing with confidence and aggresive dropped 33/9 on a comp match thank you so much woohoojin
I really enjoy the 1 on 1 content I know its not super efficient content to focus on to coach the most people but I'd love to see more of it like jpc content was such a fun era.
This is ridiculously understated, but her external dialogue is an insanely good demonstration of what goes on for a lot of players and helps you realize their decision making (good or bad). Radiant self-awareness Dr. Turnip, even if you don't yet have the tools to put it all together.
Started following woohoojin recently and I just started playing valorant last month. These lessons are so great that from getting carried by my friends to carrying them.
im actually ascendent now and i took a long break from the game you dont know how much i appreciate this vid rn cause i think that i dont have the confidence for more fights and in my head there is alot to worry about like you said thank youu mr hooj
Nah they can be pretty educational, this is just what I needed. I learn fast, but I've been putting too much strategy and thought into these silver matches. I just need to squish.
@@BombShot If you have even a sliver of doubt in your mind about this "strategy", just think about smurfs. Why are they so easily able to carry despite only being 1 or 2 ranks higher? It's not like they're even amazing at the game, the only difference is that they have the confidence to push and swing everything because they know they're better
@@snowpools8498 i don't doubt it, I just recently got into competitive smite, so my eSports brain has been building, and I was overthinking the lower elos.
Let's goooo. We are in the DrTurnip Era. I fucken love DrTurnip, all my homies love DrTurnip. If you're not rooting for DrTurnip it's cuz you've never heard of her.
I am a cypher main hardstuck iron (I am not kidding I got 1-2 afk for more than 16 games continuously) but being aggressive in low elo is the best play. Yes even though I suck. People in low elo are just so scared u will get at least 1 even if u die (which is mostly good since you will damage someone else too or at least get info and map control)
gone from iron 1 to bronze 3 after videos, not the hugest improvement but im getting there. I rely on my brain and utility too much I can’t aim. best content and valorant coach, very educational banana
Iron 1 to bronze 3 is a massive improvement. I’ve seen Iron gameplay and they don’t look real. Bronze 3 makes a lot of mistakes but at least they’re competent like real human beings
5:30 Before anyone complains, he said up to *gold.* The reason this doesn't work for you in your elo is because it becomes a predictable show of aggression that has a lot of counterplay.
For anyone wondering, she has been in silver 1 for the past 2 acts. Great person but some people just don't have the drive to improve even if it means taking a temporary step back and getting out of a comfort zone
We need to be practically licking the barrier when it goes down. We're not a duelist, we are bullets and we're flying for heads! BE THE BULLET. BE THE FIRST TO FIND THEIR FACES. WE'RE SILVER, WE well I'm iron but FIND FACE PULL TRIGGER!!
This is exactly what my friends silver games looked like when I was teaching him, and it genuinely feels like a fever dream. Absolute clusterfuck with not a single thing making sense, it's hilarious 😂
I am slightly confused by the "play to improve not to win the round" but also "Push B every round to get to gold." Does this approach focus on improving in regards to confidence and aggression and wont stifle other learning?
I feel like sliver is so easy to get out of but most of the time I actually get teammates that make bad plays or just Smurfs on the other team and straight up lag aimlabs is helping me a lot tho
That line at 28:16. It resonated with me god damn. I've been losing games trying to learn new ways to play and trying to master shit like deadzoning. I hated how I was losing and it's hard as fuck to sit there and not play like I normally do for the sake of getting better o7
uhm, actually, table salt contains more than just sodium chloride. Iodine and anti baking agents are often added to it, but that's all. Traces of other salts contribute a lot to the taste and they are the reason, why some salts taste saltier than others. So that little kid is not just arrogant, he's wrong.
37:58 bro i hit my head with my hand so hard ... i have a headache now.. that scenario was as similar as it gets.. when she made noise in flank had her knife out and died to the raze holding with a stinger, she had her knife out again and ran and chamber was holding for her im ascendant and her fights are so much better than alot of ppl i see (sure the silvers give her time to adjust cz theyre slow) but all she needs is confidence and shift walk, lowkey maybe she shld turn the default movement to walk and use shift when she wants to run
i've noticed on defense in a lot of my games they don't ever try to get into gun fights a lot of my team just hides and lets them plant. even if they have utl to slow the push. they just let them walk onto the site.
So I’ve been playing Val for a a while but i would just play passively. I’m bad.. lol but i’m trying to get better. I started the practice and warmup but the comments and advice are SUUUPER helpful. But i have to ask, what is a squish? I’m also behind on a lot of lingo.
Hello Mr. Banana, I've been watching you for a while; I currently hover around Asc 1 and Asc 2 and I have been trying to make the final push to Immortal. I struggle with a similar issue where I get too focused on the tactical aspects of the game and calling for my team that I often am not focused or prepared when approached with gunfights. I have well above average aim and movement for my rank and I find that if I just turn my brain off and fight I win alot more gunfights, however, when I do this I feel like my team loses out tactically and my overall contribution is lower. I've ruled out that it is a confidence issue because I am overly certain my mechanics will be surperior to the people I am fighting in a game. I was wondering what your advice is to finding a middle ground between hyperfixating on the tactical aspect of the game and just turning off your brain and solely focusing on your gunfights? And thank you so much for posting these videos! They've helped me climb from gold to where I am now 😊
Banana man I watch on twitch and like the RUclips content, but at the same time I would love to have more small timeframe highly focused content where I don’t have to pick through a 30 min cod review. I feel like you can make hit content with focused videos with your tactical breakdowns. Sometimes I drive to work and want to just listen to advice but not have to look and get in a car crash
