I'm as addicted as anyone to the internet and social media, but I just don't understand not taking pictures if you can't share them. Don't they want to just take pictures of things for themselves sometimes?
THANK YOU! I paused the video just to see what others thought about that comment. I have a SLEW of pictures that will never make it to social media, and I am high key ok with that!
Yes exactly I take pictures to remember things and a lot of the time I might post them at a later date I rarely post when I’m out enjoying myself because it’s too taxing at that moment and taking a picture is easier
Unpopular opinion. I think people should spend more time offline. So many people get caught up in all the expectations of social media, and they dont realize that the internet is often there to sell you something. Whether that's a product, a way of existing or a way to think, etc. When we unplug and read a physical book, get outside, work on ourselves without pressure, it can change your whole perspective. Try to live in the moment more. Love yourself without the pressures of the world. Confront your difficiancies and issues and better yourself.
yesss . i focused on myself for all of summer and i have like a whole new perspective and im way more condfident. i took a break from social media and didnt post as much and also sorta distant myself from friends.
I loved how they committed to the no internet thing while out at those instagrammable places but I didn’t get why they couldn’t take pics just for memories? Like it doesn’t all have to be for stories 😂
Here's the thing... I don't do social media and I'm still online for hours a day. This is for online books, movies, tv shows, etc. So when people say you should stay offline for a day (or three) all I can think is, and what do you want me to do when I'm not working or at school? Stare at a wall?
They should've deleted the apps for the past 3 days. I personally deleted my Instagram last December of 2020 and went back July this year and then I deleted the app again after a few weeks. You don't need to post literally everything on the internet. Just saying
Oh hunny. One of the biggest gifts you can give to yourself is not being concerned with the opinions of sheep. People questioning your transition actually has nothing to do with you. It has more to do with their ignorance and/or cruelty. I wish you all the love and healing. My husband and i are sending you all the mom and dad hugs
Why do you keep putting Jordan in videos when they never go through with the challenge? Happened in the jump rope one too. I think they only agree to be in these videos for the free items and probably little $$ buzzfeed gives them. Their little effort is disrespectful to the creators who actually try and also makes the video less enjoyable. There's better people to showcase than uncommitted people like Jordan 🤷
Honestly their reason for going online on this video is a great example of the negative effects of being online SO much. The healthy thing to do would be to spend time offline. Not fall down the troll rabbit hole.
Yeah I’m like disgusted by the fact this person is being involved with EASY things they can’t do, lol. I would literally just turn my phone off for 3 days. It’s reallllly not a big deal.
Sounds like about the amount time I spend on social media. But I also spend lots of time on creating photography, editing and now voice acting which is healthy for me when I feel like I do something that's useful for myself. Mostly I don't find regular selfies super interesting anymore but to create selfportrait photography. It probably would be healthy though to be without it just for a day or so.
@@UmuPadoru it’s a part of Sabbath. Basically because for took a day off after creating the world for 6 days, we are supposed to take a break from everything as well. This includes work, using power and, well, phones. It starts approximately Friday night and ends Saturday night.

this is not enough of a struggle. what a waste of a video. i mean i get it.....they wanted to free themselves from the beast but i think if you’re going to do this it’s gotta be for more than 3 days.
Allowing 15 minutes was a failure. Do it again with none. No text, no email, no social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, RUclips, etc), no phone calls. And no television! Try that one. EDIT 2: Get volunteers to be in a white/grey/black room. Give them things to write with and draw. Food and light and dark and comfort. But nothing to "connect".
There are so many more interesting things to be doing with your time than spending it on social media.. honestly. Read a book, go outside, take a class, hang out with friends. Actually create memories instead of consuming vapid BS on the internet that won't matter in 2 days from now. Also the concept for this video has been done to death. Please come up with something that isn't totally cliche, thank you.

It’s hilarious that this is a comment on RUclips
I 100% agree with this
Let's face it, 96% of people on social media are not remotely interesting. You're not missing anything.

They film on cameras not their phones
I dont even get the issue about the taking photos or videos thing. Yall can still takes pictures and videos... just post them later.

Umu it’s called the Sabbath or Shabbat in Hebrew. Basically every week from Friday night to Saturday night is a religious holiday

There’s actually a setting on RUclips to turn on captions! All you do is click the video, and click the “cc” button in the corner! Hope this helps :)
