I really like the whole verdant take on the Deathguard, it's a nice call back to the idea that that grandfather is life in all it's forms from the highest to the lowest... it's just that the lowest forms(bacteria/fungi) outnumber the higher forms billions to one, and the still fairly low forms(plants invertebrates) still outnumber us millions to one. I really love how you used the grass tufts and I think you could take that even further by drilling out spots like the censors or mouths in the armor to just leave a divot for the grass to be growing out of, especially with the vine or possibly root like tentacles. So one idea for your bases is to give them a high gloss coat(if you didn't already) and then if your comfortable working with oils to leave horrible green yellow brown smears behind each foot with a drop or two under him, but the front of the base still being pristine. Have you looked at any of the Sylvaneth kit's as a source for conversion parts? I can see a head swap being a fairly cool way to give a very different look to a Sargent, or marking a veteran by the fact that their arm(or a leg) has been replaced with living wood while still holding a bog standard weapons loadout. I think the chain-mail could use a little dirtying up, it seems a little too clean compared to the rest the character, and not in the same way as the base that tells the story of how out of place this filthy heretic is inside this pure sanctuary.
I really like your growth in the hobby so far. Just reading one book has sprouted a whole new way to look at your death guard. I think the clean marble bases will definitely be a nice contrast. I love the idea of growth growing on the marines and cant wait to see how you incorporate more itl Theres soo many plant bits out there that you can go really crazy with the theme. Also brown is a nice backdrop to the vegetation, its a very natural look of course
I love this new look for your Death Guard! The Brown and the moss looks so good together and it makes an amazing contrast with the clean marble floor! Here's to season 2! 🥳
Looks great! I love overgrown theme for miniatures in general for some reason, and it's kinda fitting for nurgle Fun tip on making shorter patches of moss or lichen i've found recently: before priming put some super glue on your base/model, stick a bit of kitchen sponge or something similar on that glue, then wait for like a minute and tear off all tearable parts of sponge. You'll end up with some short mossy texture that looks great when mixed with taller normal tufts (though i've only tried it with bases so far, so i guess it would be better to test it on sprue bits first) Also dropping some dark wash like agrax earthshade on the lower part of the tufts helps to blend them better, though your tufts already look great, love that color variation with bits yellow, green and red
I'd like to have my second army be Nurgle-corrupted Blood Angels (inspired by the Dornian Heresy btw) if I ever get the time and budget to do so Also how might be able to convert/kitbash some Blood Angel Plague Marines to look the part? I kinda have a few ideas of my own, but I'd like to hear what you have to say
That sounds awesome! I don't really know much about Blood Angels so it's kinda hard for me to answer. I'm sure whatever you do will look amazing if you've got a story behind it to tell :)

Thank you! That's a cool idea using Sylvaneth bits to kitbash! I'll take a look into it :)

Thank you, appreciate the ongoing support! I've got a couple of ideas for some of my other units. Look forward to sharing in the near future :)

Thanks for the tip! That sounds like it could work really well. I'll give it a go :)
Love your videos. Death gard rule. Love papa nurgle. Love from Australia and Malta. Keep the videos coming 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you! Don't plan on stopping any time soon :)
Personally I’d recommend going for more demon engines and using basing techniques on their armor like making wire trees that sprout from their armor
That would be really cool!
