I appreciate the honest, straight forward, non biased review. I just bought these, and while I feel like they could be a little louder, I do love the clean, crisp sound. Not a single part of the audio range takes over the others. They feel extremely well balanced. The only issue I’m seeing is that when I try to create my own eq setting, the overall volume of the sound reduces, compared to the built in eq profiles.
Wow, this is the first JBL Over Ear Headphones that sound worth a serious try. I agree, that at the very least, they look awesome. Great description of the audio production and sound characteristics. Thanks again!
Thanks for your review! I went to Best Buy last week and I listened to these headphones. I agree that they are amazing. I wouldn't put them over the Beats Studio 3, but they are very close! I plan to pick these up soon.
Been planning to get a pair of decent noise cancelling over ear headphones for a while but was stuck between the Sony wh1000xm3 and the Bose 700's. I've held off on that purchase because of the prohibitively high cost. But you made a really compelling case for these JBL's. I'm a new viewer and I really appreciate the clear and pragmatic approach you take in your reviews. Thank you, I'll seriously consider getting these sometime soon.

Just bought these in the Boxing Day sales here in New Zealand, for the money they are excellent! ANC is more than satisfactory and the sound signature very good, on a par with any other headphones I have tried. I highly recommend these
I LOVE these headphones. The noise cancelling is PERFECT, i don't hear anything else when i have these on. Only thing is, they get a little uncomfortable, after wearing for over an hour... They're too tight, anyone know if i can fix this?
Try putting it on a sturdy surface, while not using it, for example put a couple of books together and put it on them. After some time, it should became less tight.
Except I had a pair that wouldn’t shut off. Well, they would shut off and then turn right back on. I traded them in, and now the ones I have now, do the same thing. The only way to get them to turn off is the plug them into power.
Quick question: I've got a problem with the voice assistant, nore precisely the activation of a va. It randomly triggers the assistant from time to time but doesn't react to my touch itself (ehat assistant I'm using doesn't matter, aa both are broken). Other than shutting the va off, is there a way to fix it? Thanks in advance ✌️
Exactly referring to bass!!! It’s not that you’re saying they have too much bass, is that they are actually reproducing enough base to where it sounds perfect. Too many times headphones are lacking in bass, or have maybe just enough so can hear it but not feel it. But here, it’s loud and present like it would be if you were at an actual show. Great review by the way.
Another pair I love are the Sabbat E12 Ultra’s! Especially the multiple tips they come with so you can tune them to your liking. I like a little on the bass heavy. 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

The sound in JBLs headphones is not like OMG, but what they do is clarity, instrument separation very well, I have Skull Candy crushers ANC for bass fun and the JBLs when I feel I want clarity. And it wasnt the sound that blew me away but the CLARITY and instrument, vocal and bass separation, is just awesome.
I just saw your review of the tune 500bt. I do own the tune 500bt and live 650btnc. I noticed the tune 500bt is much louder compared to live 650btnc while listening on the same volume. Do you have that too? I might thinking that my live 650btnc is fake.
Hi Edward. For me, I’d say the same thing. However the sound quality is the major difference with the 650’s. I think headphones sacrifice loudness for ANC regardless. So it becomes a matter of loudness vs sound quality.

Demi van der Schaar, that largely depends on whether you prefer on-ear (500BTs) or over-ear (650BTs). The 650s have a much more refined sound, while the 500s are light weight and bassy. If it means anything, the 650s are currently my favorite headset. 🤷🏽♀️
@@SharpeTech i have the Skullcandy Hesh 2 like for 3 years already, and i love the sound they have and they have really good bass, but its time to get new ones cause these are kinda old. I don't know if you have tried the hesh 2 wireless and if u can tell me if it is a really bug upgrade

Okay... number one, don’t ever write to me in all caps again. Number two... I’m pretty honest when I say they sent them to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. Now if we’re paid, then they send the product AND money. So please do a little more research before you go all in on anyone else. Overrated!!!!! I bought them and you can only wear them for so long and then your head needs a breather!! Get rid of the headband..worst ever made!!!!
