YESSSSS its finally here!!! i thought this OGWT appearance was lost forever !!! thankyou so much for posting this ,, its the first time ive seen it since 1979 !! ive never forgot it in all these years , and been searching everywhere for it , still got the single
@@angusdafoe9351 I only have the single, but discovered so much more of him here on RUclips, what a voice, always thought he didn't have to act silly, his talent wasn't accepted here in UK imo
@@angusdafoe9351 agreed, it's a pleasure discovering more and more about him, I've just found a copy of his book on Ebay, but it's very pricey, so going to hope it comes up cheaper in the future, seller wants £34 ouch
@@TheArpomni2 The price for his book doesn't surprise me as it's hard to get outside of Oz and knowing UK customs they will bang another £20 import duty on top.
I was lucky to see Duffo appear live in London in 1978 on the same bill as Stiff Little Fingers, Ivor Biggun, Johnny Moped, and The Lurkers. A memorable night.
When I was just a kid I never saw this when it was aired, I just kept hearing about it & then got lent the DUFFO LP. I should stop typing & watch.......
I remember Dave Lee Travis played ‘Give Me Back My Brain’ on his breakfast show when it was released in 1979! But who would of predicted that Beggars Banquet stablemate Tubeway Army would be number one in a few months after another OGWT appearance!
I bought 'Give me back me brain ' when it came out from Discount Records in the underground market in Manchester. I later sold it to another pUnk schoolmate 'Craig Pitts' , along with a few others I needed to offload to buy some more ( i was only on 2 quid pocket money) ! dx

@@TheArpomni2 Jeff Duff is an extremely talented musician and performer and always a pleasure to listen to him. 👍

We loved that guy way back then. He was as mad as we always wanted to be.
I remember this well. I bought his album the next day and I think I played once or twice. I still have it in my collection.
please post it -had it too -but gone lost
Even better than I remembered
They took my brain away in the 70’s and it’s still back there
A real treasure. Jeff was a great performer with a voice to match.
He is the best.
One of the best OGWT performances of all time. And that's official..
Takes me back!! Me & my big brother loving it while mam & dad sat there tutting away in disgust ha ha!
Love it!

Is this in mono and crackling or is my headphone adapter fucked? Thumbs up nevertheless.
Super !
This sounds like a bizarre cross between ziggy stardust and the Rocky horror picture shy
Hide your wings in the Tower of Madness
the comparison with Otway here is perfect
I want a duff record.
+maureeno8 Google Aztec Records. They have them.
Different everywhere
Got this album in 1979 - great to finally see some performances!! Thanks for posting :-D Was the song Duff Odyssey ever performed?
Pretty sure first song is a Doctors of Madness cover
Kinda Zappa-like at 4:00
He wanted to be Bowie so much
Didn't we all?
No.
Lyndsey Franklin He does a piss poor job of it
What .No
He was friends with mcCartney ,warhol ,you name it he was very good friends of Bowie when he lived in Australia
Out in Numinbah Valley
Not shocking or offensive. Just theatre.
Not Duff at his best.
Sounds like the Biden Administration
Yet still an improvement over Trump 😃
